As much as I'd like to second guess this game, we need to give kudos to Vince Young. He was lights out today. So many of his passes weren't defendable as he was so pinpoint with his throws. We got beat today by a guy having the best game of his life. It happens.

Agreed, he was on fire.

Still, the D should have been able to stop them once on a 99 yard drive! He would have had a 98 yard drive prior to that if there hadn't been that fortunate fumble.

The fact is the defense failed...its not the first time, it won't be the last. Maybe the team needed a slap in the face so they don't get all complacent like last season, maybe this turns out to be a loss that sets the focus for the remainder of the season, truth is none of us know. Hopefully the team reacts as a unit and steps it up for the playoff run and starts to take care of business!

No today wasn't a must win neither is next week's game but that doesn't take the sting out of watching our defense let Vince Young take his team 99 yards in 18 plays to win. Even though I knew it was going to happen as soon as Howling downed the ball on the one.

I knew it would happen when the guy caught the tipped ball as if it were a drawn up play and gained 30 yards on a pattern they threw to someone else hoping for a 7 yard gain. Right there, I realized the game was VY's and watched the rest with a lump in my throat.

Yup, that crazy deflection and catch by their tight end was a very bad omen. Five Cardinals in the area and it flies into Scaife's paws. We've had a couple of those go our way, this time it didn't. :(

Here's something to make us sicker.

Say we do beat the Vikings next week. The Bengals play them too--assuming we beat the Niners the monday after next and the Bengals beat the Vikings--

Had we won the TN game, both the Vikings and us would have both had 10-3 records. We may have been in the race for the 2 seed prior to this debacle
