Mauigoa has a tremendous resume. He's massive and played extremely well for a high profile team. His floor is extremely high because he is a good kid and has above average tools.
I understand the excitement of taking Love, I really do. The younger me would have been a Love-stan for sure. I used to bristle at the concept of taking OL high, but I've watched smart teams do it with very good results. I just question why it would be smart to take a player at a position the Cardinals have depth at vs a position that is barren.
If you have two prospects of similar rating, you take the guy who fills a bigger need. It's what pretty much every team does, every time.
