Sour grapes from a bitter sportswriter who declared the Dbacks dead a month ago. You can only play what the competition gives you.

During SF's opening streak, they played SD and MIL at total of 9 times. LA's streak included FLA (when they really sucked) and MIL.

A number of Gnats fans were also complaining when the D'backs swept Detroit.... conveniently ignoring the fact that the Gnats had also swept Detroit 3 weeks earlier!

The good teams have to beat up on the weaklings. That's how it is. Every team plays them, so why is anyone complaining? Earlier in the year we weren't beating these teams, at least not in the fashion we are now.

My point of the thread was to continue to point out how people around the country dilute any Diamondback winning streak. If it was SF then the whole nation would be heaping on the praise.

We have won a World Series, shouldn't we get a little more respect. Its almost as if we are viewed the same as Tampa Bay.
