How to turn off "online now" signal

I have gone into the privacy setting sections to mask my presence online. The option is available, but is not taking effect once I select that feature. What's up with that?

I checked the little box on the dropdown menu and my status doesn't show me as online... at least for me it doesn't

i never log out so it probably says I am always online

Yes.....


Uncheck, but it seems to be working intermittently... sometimes it shows online, sometimes not. No matter, you know when I'm online because I post a stupid comment somewhere.
