The FIFA World Cup matches are underway in Kansas City, with soccer fans taking in world-class action at Arrowhead Stadium.

Earlier in the week, New York Giants quarterback Jameis Winston teamed up with Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Chukwuebuka Godrick to host an NFL Play60 event. The NFL collaborated with Operation Breakthrough in Kansas City on the youth event, and Winston notably wore a Patrick Mahomes jersey.

Godrick, a native of Nigeria, entered the International Player Pathway program in 2022 and was later signed by the Chiefs as part of their developmental plans. He spent the next few seasons on the practice squad without being called up to the active roster until 2025. He appeared in 4 games last season, gaining valuable experience.

Winston started two games for New York last season, finishing with two passing touchdowns and two interceptions. He continues to serve as a special correspondent for FOX Sports during the FIFA World Cup coverage.

Operation Breakthrough is a not-for-profit corporation that began in 1971 to address the need for quality child care and to provide a nurturing, safe environment for children living in poverty.
