I am wondering what was everyone's first Major League baseball game ever attended along with also their very first Dbacks game that you saw live and in person? If both were of the same game, then just post that particular one...

Here's mine as follows... I'm going to be using one of the links that I posted above for some excellent details which is Retrosheet.org

Detroit Tigers 2, Toronto Blue Jays 1

I apologize for how the stats werent alligned properly...For some reason I didn't have at the time of posting the use of the above functions....

I remember that I was 7 and for years I had several opportunities to attend games, however, I declined the invite until this particular game... My mom was a top producing Real Estate agent, so I wore a baseball cap with her company's logo on it... Unfortunately.. it was blue (similar to that of the Blue Jays) and for some reason I stood-up during the Canadian National Anthem...Some Blue Jays fans around us started applauding me and I was so royally confused.. I was with my dad and both my older sisters who promptly pointed-out the reason why they were clapping in my direction, so I immediately removed that cap for the remainder of the game....

Here's my 1st Dbacks game:

Again, I apologize for the uneven spacing, but this all puts everything into even more perspective... I must admit that I was still rooting exclusively for the Tigers since it was still just my 1st month out here in the Valley, but I gradually was transitioning/converting over to the Dbacks... IIRC, the big milestone of this game was Mark Grace's 500th career double...

So, what was your first ML game/Dbacks game? You dont necessarily have go to the extremes that I did while I posted both of mine, but it makes it even more interesting....

First game ever attended: April 9th, 1981. Opening Day at Dodger Stadium for the start of what later became known as FernandoMania

Also attended the 1989 All Star game that Bo Jackson hit that monstrous home run in the 1st inning.

First DBacks game? I don't remember but it was in the first series (not Opening Day) of the inaugural season.

First D'Backs game was March 31, 1998. Arizona v. Colorado.

First ever MLB game would have been at Tiger Stadium sometime in the mid-1970's, but I ma not sure of exactly when.

I was at "THE" Dbacks opening day.

My first was a 3 game series between the Pirates and Giants at Candlestick in 1970. I saw Mazeroski and Clemente just a few months before the plane wreck.

First Dbacks game was either the 4th or 5th home game in 1998, against the Giants.

I really can not tell you the first exact gave ever, but it was in 1984 a year my dad had season tickets to the Cubs and I went to about 30 games, I was 6.

My first D-backs game was the second ever game at BOB against the Rockies, we lost.

I saw the Dbacks beat the Giants for their first win. Passed up a job in L.A. because I had tickets for the game.

My first game was also the Detroit Tigers but it was the 1968 Tigers, what a great team. I have no idea who they played.

My first MLB and D-back game was against the L.A. Dodgers on September 12, 2000. Curt Schilling was pitching that game. I don't remember the score but D-Backs won. B.K. Kim with the save.

That was my first D'backs game. I remember that if was freezing outside and we were in the upper deck with the AC blowing. It was so uncomfortable.

First MLB game was probably around 1990. Mets vs. Cubs at Wrigley. I believe Darryl Strawberry hit two home runs in the Mets victory.

My first game was at the Astrodome in 1975. We watched the Dodgers and the Astros, Houston won.

My first D-Backs game was in the inaugural season. It was also against the Dodgers but they lost 9-8 IIRC.

(No, I'm NOT a Dodgers fan, but my dad is.)

My first baseball game that I attended was an Expos-Cubs game sitting in the bleachers. I remember the chant: Fee, Fi, Fo FUm, NIxon is a f&*%king bum!/getting beers spilled on my head/Tim Wallach(I think - was he an outfielder?) making one of the sickest diving catches/and Marvel Wynne hitting a homerun, right after my uncle said - oh - .225 average - Get ready for a ball guys!

My first D-backs game? 1998 versus the Stros - anyone remember that extra innings game where we went up by like 7 runs, they tied it and then we won when someone rocketed a ball off Billy Wagner's face? That was the game I was at. I think Bennes was the starter.

yup, we were 4 of the 7474 in attendance. It was a rain storm & they were giving away free Indians parkas. Bobby Bonds almost went deep & got a bunch of doubles. It was the rainiest mud storm ever

My first MLB and Dbacks game was July 10, 1998 at the BOB vs the Reds with my b*&*& ex-wife, D-Dogg and his fiance (not yet Mrs. D-Dogg).

We stopped at KFC prior to the game and were about 5 minutes late for first pitch. Reggie Sanders homered for the Reds in Top 1.

Down 5-0, the Dbacks charged back in the bottom of the ninth, including a HR by Danny Klassen. Dbacks lost 5-4 with Andy Benes getting the loss. Andy Benes lost the first 5 Dback's games I ever saw, including spring training.

Good times.
