Use FA to get the o-line patched, and add to it after the 1st round. Use a top ten or top five pick on a QB.

do you hire the new oc and qb coach before finding out which qb you get in the draft - and do you draft a qb regardless in the first regardless of who's available and how they fit your new ones scheme

Fixing the o-line is top priority but that doesn’t mean we can’t take a Qb with our first pick.

If Mendoza and moore are gone then we go o line….Simpson would be a reach that high… I would take him in the second round or the Trojan quarterback

• Round 3, Pick 66: Trey Benson (RB)

• Round 3, Pick 90: Elijah Jones (CB)

This was supposed to be the haul that rebuilt our team!!! How on earth does this guy get another chance to screw us up again?

Nothing more damning that Monti has done than the disasterclass that was the 24 draft. People seriously think the guy that nuked a team and rebuilt it to the same level of disaster it was before should be allowed to pick the next QB. Insanity.

Maybe our best hope is to have the following teams finish in front of us: NY Giants (have Jaxson Dart), Tennessee Titans (have Cam Ward), Washington (have Jayden Daniels) and maybe Cleveland (they have Sanders, Gabriel, and Watson returning). These teams recently spent draft capital on QBs and may consider trading down to #5-6 wherever the Cards end up. They could get additional capital and still get the BPA in their eyes. My biggest concern would be Cleveland - do they feel good about their 3?

Cleveland would absolutely still take a QB IMO. Neither Gabriel or Shedeur has done enough for them to NOT take a QB.

I think the Giants are the most interesting team in the draft in that regard. Dart has been great, 11 TD's 3 picks, over 60%, the fans love him the players love him. But the coaches are getting increasingly frustrated with him because as they said he has to realize he's a QB not a TE, start sliding, stop taking hits he's letting his team down by getting hurt so much. The best comment I've seen is from a guy in my fantasy league who said Dart is the football version of Lenny Dykstra, everyone loves him he plays so hard but you start to wonder is he ever going to figure out he's shortening his career by running into walls all the time

You are missing our TE.

Here are the issues with the 2024 draft.

1 - Failure to recognize how top heavy the draft class was. It was discussed by draftniks and on draftcasts how top heavy this draft was. It's Monti's job to know this and make moves accordingly.

2 - Trading back for Max Melton. This goes into #1. Adding pick 79 was much worse than sticking at 35. At 35 the Cardinals still had access to several CBs and a few DL vs moving back so that all of those players were gone. Just a bad process.

3 - Failure to identify the best RBs. The Cardinals ended getting one of the worst in the draft using the highest assets. Several productive RBs were taken in this draft, but the Cardinals missed.

4 - Failing to add a usable OL. Again, this draft did have some opportunities for AZ to add good OL players. Monti seemingly identified the wrong one.

Monti didn't have to hit on every one of these moves. That's not realistic. The issue is that he missed on almost all of them which highlights his part in the failures of this roster and why he needs to go along with Gannon.

to me the value of those extra 3rd rounders was as ammo to move up. #27+#70+#90 per the trade value chart gets you up to ~#15

where pass rushers Latu, Turner and Verse were all available. DT Byron Murphy was there as well.

I really hope we dont draft a Will Levis type in the 2nd or 3rd round. Those guys always just end up being a journeyman type backup after their rookie contract, a complete waste of draft capital, no reason to draft one rather than just starting an experienced journeyman. It delays the rebuild for the sole purpose of selling false hope to fans.
