Can’t see Bain getting past the titans and giants… but would be a good pick if we don’t go Simpson or o line…..just make sure Monti asks him “ have you ever had calf problems?”
Giants like Reese.

I think Simpson's out of consideration after yesterday, at least that early.

He is not good in many ways

Mid to late round pick

No way he goes at the top of the draft

Unless MO decides to be the smartest guy in the room again

Can you imagine that?

We draft him and have no coaches to develop him and the Oline leaks like a sieve

Unfortunately that's the "Cardinals Way" at time

Ugh

Smith the WR was the best player and prospect in that game IMO but he's a soph and not coming out.

Been saying it for awhile. We need to fix RT and we need other help but we just need good players and IMO Bain is the guy who if there would make a big immediate impact. He plays both the run and rushes the QB, he's the right age and he's a guy who can get better too. I only saw the first half clearly, 2nd half we were eating at a restaurant and it was on the tv behind us so off and on I saw it but as I said in the other thread Bain wrecked TOSU's offense in the first half and the entire 2nd half was designed on where is Bain double him or move the pocket away from him. Akheem is good too but he's getting sacks because the OL is so worried about Bain. There was a play in the 2nd half that they showed a replay on to show good Bain is, he beat a double then chased down the play to the sideline and helped on the tackle there

Put Bain on the opposite side of Sweat with Nolen at some point healthy and some other pieces you've got a chance to have a good defense.

I wasn't impressed or put off by Mauigoa he is about where I thought he was I think he's 10-15 guy. Again limited viewing I thought Reese probably hurt himself last night he made some plays had some tackles but very little impact didn't make any big plays when needed. I thought Styles underwhelmed I know he's a converted safety and he's big so it's not lack of size he just looks like a guy who hasn't played that much LB he plays way too high. They showed a stat that said he hadn't had a missed tackle all year and I had to laugh, in that very game in the first quarter he had the RB lined up in the hole and met him one on one and got knocked on his butt as the RB got another 5 yards they showed the replay over and over praising the tough running. If that's not a missed tackle what is? Mesidor probably helped himself, he needs to get stronger but he's fast.

If you can get Bain in the first round and there's no QB we are sold on and no RT worth the pick I think you take Bain. If you think Fano is the RT you take him. My fear is we're going to go in saying we HAVE to have a QB and we're going to reach
Styles has been the most overrated Buckeye in a long time. Stay away from him. A comp for him is Isaiah Simmons. Great athlete just don't expect him to make many plays.

I think he means the #3 QB in the draft class
I wouldn’t downgrade Simpson based on that game. Bama was lucky to be there with mostly mediocre Oline and terrible coaching.

What about being 23 and not being able to crack the starting line-up until year 4?

16ish starts is not a good indicator of NFL success.

Nah. This is gonna be a Jared Verse moment. People are going to pass on production and wonder another ended up with the best pass rusher in the class.
Assuming QBs are out of reach -- I would have no problem with David Bailey at 5

the run defense is almost as good at the pass rush

I think the beauty of last night is….we can now take Bain at 5…then trade up into the bottom of round one for Simpson or the ole miss kid…get the offensive tackle from Indy and a new offensive coordinator and we may have something going on offense

I'd take Bailey and Bain over Reese.
What scares me about Reese is when the scouts and analysts say “ moveable chess piece” …”versatile”….oh no not that again….give me the 270 pound Bain or the Miami offensive tackle if we ain’t getting Mendoza….Moore gives me the heebeejeebiss too….if we ain’t getting Mendoza go edge or o line

I like it. Much too aggressive considering how this team operates.
Now add two more free agent. A rb and a guard.
Love Connor but I’m not paying him 10m with his situation especially with the free agents available this year.
