Do you have X-mas eve dinner? New Year's day tradition?

We eat dinner, exchange gifts, etc on Christmas eve. Then on Christmas Day we get together for lunch/dinner and watch football.

On Christmas Eve, we go to my girlfriend's father's house, exchange gifts and he orders a whole mess of food from Carolina's.

My New Years Day tradition was to lay on the sofa in my underwear all day and watch all the major bowl games

Christmas Eve I usually go to a movie with friends. Might have tamales, or else something simple like grilled pork or lamb chop and salad. Might do Cuban take-out this year, however.

New Year's Day is usually duck or some sort of expensive seafood, often experimenting with new recipes -- good way to start the new year. Last year I made a warm Cabernet-glazed duck-breast salad and I think also a pumpkin bisque. Not sure this year.

Christmas eve was always church and then snacks and drinks at my Uncle John's house. Lots of fun.

We would alternate houses between my mom's and my uncle's house every year for Christmas day. Also, fun times.
