This tournament should be our "Euros" and done as often--raise our level of competition, more meaningful games and less friendlies. Get rid of the stupid Gold Cup.

They have a European Champion we should have a Champion of the Americas. Unfortunately CONCACAF and CONMEBOL will never be able to settle on something like this as a permanent tournament.

Why is that? Since the US won't be playing, it shouldn't be too bad, will it?

It doesn't matter. They are horrible to be around. Think Eagles fans x10.

Ok - because I was thinking about seeing if any of Alex's family was interested, since half of my in-laws were born in Mexico :)

If you are there to support Mexico, no problem. Neutral fans will not have a good time. USA fans might get hurt.

Never been to a Mexico game, but are they really that bad in Phoenix? I'm tempted just to see Luis Suarez in person.

They are. It is sad too, because Suarez is my favorite player by far.

My hope is this tourney is such a success, that the money generated will fix the disagreements between CONCACAF and CONMEBOL. I so want an Americas' version of the Euros.

I agree with this...

So the final 23 is out. Jordan Morris being left off is the big snub. Hopefully perry and nagbe will be featured over beckerman and jones but I have a feeling we will see a lot of the same with Bradley and jones in the middle. This is an interesting 23.

No Morris
No Mix
No Miazga

No comprendo

Mix I understand, he has been awful for NYCFC and was voted by players one of the most overrated in the league.

Wondo over Morris is a serious head scratcher for me.

Wondo over Morris? WONDO OVER MORRIS? Okay, this is JK's last chance saloon for me. If we don't do well, he's gonzo for me. I mean, he reminds me of Alan Pardew, for me. And, despite his appearance in the FA Cup, that's no compliment.

I threw Mix's name out more as a complaint against taking Jones, Medusa Hair, and Kitchen. They play the same position. Doesn't make sense.

JK was quoted as saying the 23rd spot came down to Morris or Wondoboner. To me this should have been the FIRST decision.

"Coach, do you want Jordan or Wondo?"
"Has Morris had a recent amputation I don't know about?"
"No."
"Then don't waste my time with such a stupid question again. Get out of my office."

Bringing Morris in when he was an unknown guy at Stanford then keeping him at home when he's scoring goals at will in the MLS is a trademark Klinsmann move.

I'm just not a wondo fan I'll admit I haven't seen much of him other than his poor touch against Belgium which is a bit unfair because he seems to score a lot of goals for SJ. He has more goals than Morris. The times I've seen wondo play on the NT he jozy and Dempsey don't seem to be as active when they are together. Dempsey seems to be the most willing to run but usually only when he smells an attack brewing. I want to see a guy with pace that runs hard. Morris does that and is why I'm excited to see him and wood play for the future. There's Zardes too. Interestingly they have pulisic listed at forward as well when he and Zardes play MF for their club teams?

To think if golden boy jozy were healthy(as if that's a question lol) someone else would have been left off. I'd like to think wondo but who knows
