Why? He's ancient, often injured, suffered a horrible season-ending injury, and already wasn't looking his old self before the injury. The correct question for me is, what makes you think JC has more left in the tank?
He’s tough. Foot injuries that require surgery are rarely significantly disabling. His game is based on power, not speed. At his age he can fully rebuild his power. I’d be stunned if he’s done.

Thanks for the honest response! My riposte is he's always been a slower back. His game is based on power, as you say. Unfortunately for players like him at his age, you do need a modicum of speed to succeed as a RB in the NFL. He had just enough in the past. This season, he appeared to be running in cement. Power runners can be strong all they like, but when they lose a step or two too much, they are finished. I believe he has hit that wall. You clearly don't agree. That's cool. Differing opinions make the board great.

Nah...he was picked up from the PS by New England/
Why say you?

According to the article, "The Cardinals cut Johnson from the practice squad Tuesday." And he's now on the Patriots' practice squad, not their active roster, where he would be if they had signed him directly from the Cards' practice squad.

I was going off of this blurb. Maybe it was retracted or clarified. IDK.

Good news on Williams but hard to get excited. if we were even 3-4 I might still have some hope but at 2-5 we're basically going to have to go 9-1 to have a prayer of the playoffs and this team is NOT going 9-1 with our schedule.
We just run 2 of the best teams in the league to within a hangnail of voctory...
The one singular most frustrating thing about this team is that they most certainly could close out this season on a 9-1 run.
They just won't.
As Cards fans the best we can hope for is a 6-3 run...to end the season around .500 and get all the post season talk about how we can build on that teamwork, effort, and development that we showed in the second half of the season.
Then start next year 2-0 .......then the injuries start up again..........

It’ll be a lot easier if we can win our remaining division games
Has an entire division ever made the post season?
Can they even?

I could see the NFCWest having like....seeds 2,3,5,6...lol

I mean....if we were so fortunate as to be granted the miracle of the final spot.....

Then they would match us up against the rams...
On prime time.....
With the nation watching....

What could possibly go wrong??

Only 2 RBs on the roster for Dallas?
Seems risky, so if 1 goes down early then you have ONE RB to play the entire game with no relief or…. what if # gets hurt also?
Hmmm

Celebrating close losses against the Colts & Packers while teams like the BROWNS & Panthers(who might be fine) actually beat them in Lambeau

Look how down bad this fanbase is right now.

Especially because it completely ignores barely beating teams like the Saints and straight up losing to the abominable Titans.
