Bro where has going 12-22 the past two seasons gotten us? 16-35 the past three?
2023 Paris Johnson - few more losses coulda had CJ Stroud (Coulda had Will Anderson but traded back)
2024 MHJ - couple more losses coulda had Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels
2025 Walter Nolen - big oof.

Does Breece Hall bring the 2025 Cardinals to the playoffs, or just give us worse draft position by a couple slots? Monti didn't full commit to winning this offseason, why would he trade for 2 months of Breece Hall now?

I don't see them trading for a RB.

1, There's been no significant drop off in the run game in recent weeks, outside of what we lost from Kyler rushing.
2, They have Benson back soon
3, They extended Conner and have Benson on long term deals, both will be around next year. Kinda rules out Hall.
4, Any low pick rental won't be any better than what we have.

If they did it's going to be nobody you like. Nick Chubb, Elijah Mitchell, AJ Dillon, Dameon Pierce. Something like that. But I'd be surprised.

IF they trade for Breece Hall I would assume they extend him and come to some type of injury settlement with Connor? Im not sure Connor can play again after that type of injury at his age

No injury settlement needed. He's in IR for the season and cutting him on the off season saves $8 million in cap space with just $2.5 million in dead money.

Seems to me if you were going to trade for Breece Hall you should have done it when Benson had surgery not now? 2-2 with 2 straight tough losses, lost your top 2 RB's in those 2 losses. You still think you're a playoff team go out and get Breece Hall who was already rumored to be available. Why wait 4 weeks and 3 losses to decide to get him?

It only makes sense to me if he wasn't actually available but he was, in fact he was more available because his backup hadn't gotten hurt yet at that point.

I do like Hall he's a good not great RB but he's proven, well over 4 YPC his entire career, at 5 YPC right now, but we knew weeks ago Benson had to miss 4 games so it seems crazy to me to be willing to trade for him now but not when we were 2-2. In that sense if they traded for him now it would make me mad we waited

Dude, the dropoff in the run game started in week 1...forget the last couple of weeks.

All true but the question is how much of that is due to the RB's and how much of that is due to the return of Will Hernandez, and getting PJJ healthy?

It makes a lot of sense if you believe Conner is essentially done, Benson hasn't proven anything, and upgrading at RB is the only real option to improve the run game outside of upgrading the line (which is much harder to do). The extension is a cherry on top.
Conner's career effectively ended with his season-ending injury. He didn't look great before then, so maybe he was cooked already.

Benson can't practice yet, not until he's designated for return, which can't happen until next Tuesday. That's Demercado, Carter, Bam and Jefferson.

He can't, not until next week if hes designated for return. A player cannot practice until they are designated for return. That's Demercado, Carter, Bam and Jefferson.

Good news on Williams but hard to get excited. if we were even 3-4 I might still have some hope but at 2-5 we're basically going to have to go 9-1 to have a prayer of the playoffs and this team is NOT going 9-1 with our schedule.
They can go 7-3 and make the playoffs at 9-8. Would feel better at 10-7, though.
