Not sure what you mean, considering he was never the DC in Arizona under Arians. It was Todd Bowles under Arian’s and then when he left to coach the Jets that became James Bettcher if I’m not mistaken?
Yeah, some radio guys were discussing JG this morning and said his biggest problem was hiring guys beneath him that also lacked coaching experience. He'd have been better suited hiring more experienced guys as his coordinators and position coaches.

I don't know why people would have an issue with this. It's no different than bringing in Salah or Shula or Minter IMO.
Yep. With the Cardinals, Joseph improved the defense to a bit above average for a couple years, but didn't sustain it in 2022.
Under Wilks in 2018, the Cards' defensive rankings were 26 (points) / 20 (yards).
Under Joseph & Kingsbury, they fell to 28/32, then improved to 12/13 and 11/11, then fell to 21/31.
Under Evero & Hackett in 2022, the Broncos' defensive rankins were 14/7.
Under Joseph & Payton, they fell to 27/29, before rising to 3/7 and 3/2.

He didn’t ever want to play the rookies. Not sure how good he is at elevating players. For me it’s kind of been there done that and I wasn’t impressed

Not my first choice but I wouldn't hate it. I would have considered Vance three years ago but the Cardinals needed to start fresh so I wanted someone new. His defenses for us were always solid and his Defense in Denver over the past couple of years has been amazing.
iirc his defense sucked here until teams got in our redzone then we'd turn it on
