I know that worked out but from a HC perspective it was garbage.

You kick the FG they need to score twice in 7 minutes and stop you. Highly unlikely.

You get held on that 4th and 1 and they only need a single clock eating scoring drive. Still unlikely but HC job is to play the odds.
