Can't use Smilies

Every now and then I lose the ability to use the regular (non-premium) Emoticons listed under (More). I can click on the option but the window never appears. When it happens, it usually lasts for a few weeks and then I'll inexplicably be able to use them again. I suspect it's something to do with my browser but I can't figure it out. I use an IMac and Safari. Does anyone have any ideas?

This is jw7 under a test account that has no admin/mod permissions.

3 things I would try:

1) I can duplicate this if I try load the "more" smilie window more than once. It is probably because it is cached and doesn't like opening it again. Close down safari and start it up again.

2) Reboot your computer to clear everything in cache.

3) Try it with firefox or IE. That will isolate the problem to your browser or computer.
