Plot Summary: What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister? With Brightburn, the visionary filmmaker of Guardians of the Galaxy and Slither presents a startling, subversive take on a radical new genre: superhero horror.
Wife and I saw this last night and loved it. Produced by James Gunn, it's a story that his brother and his cousin came to him with a couple of years back. It earns its R-rating with violence, some gore, and plenty of profanity, but it is an original film that stays true to itself. Here's hoping we get more films like this in the future and less remakes and reboots.
