Might be in the minority but I wish Beal the best. I became a fan of the man and not so much the player. He seems like a high character guy whose body started betraying him and I won't hold that against him. The Suns didn't sign him to his contract after all. Had his healthy held up then we're all viewing the transaction differently.

I am not in the minority. I loathe the guy.

If there was one player I really like on the Clippers, it is Zubac.

Ty Lue will have his hands full, but he is an excellent coach.

Good. Let's move forward. Good luck to Beal and the Clippers. Looking forward to playing them this season. The next five years are... I don't know whos.

The cost-savings is wild.

For spending 19.4 M/Y over five years, they’re saving $176 million THIS year.

Financially, this is hard to argue with. It is a savings this year and a very similar savings next year. To Ish's credit. He is willing to spend. He just has not spent well. I am hoping he will learn and improve.

It's more complicated than one might think as it deals with millions and millions of dollars saved, future salaries and Exceptions.

Wrong! We can add moere salary and pay the luxury tax as long as we stay under the aprons. I think it was Gambo saying Ishbia is unconcerned about the luxury tax. Plus we will have trades this year. This roster won't be the same at year's end.

The only thing I didn't like was his pushing back against fans last year saying he was smiling because of his big salary and his no trade clause. He started getting pissy in the media. It was uncool.

Beal is not slow and will cover the best guard. Will not be surprised if we all hate buying him out and not trading Booker

Bradley Beal has only been bought out.

He has not yet been waived and stretched. The Suns have until August 31st to do it.

These are two different things.

That's interesting. If the Suns are smart, they're still working the phones trying to dump salary (Allen, O'neale, Richards) so they don't have to stretch if they don't need to. Good to have it in the back pocket, and means they can avoid adding draft capital to do so out of desperation.

Yes, there might be another option than stretching Beal's contract (dumping salary via trade) although the consensus from those in the media, stretching is the likely path the Suns will take.

If it's possible to get rid of Beal's contract in two seasons and still field a completive team, I'd like for the Suns to explore it.
