He deserves to be fired, re hired, and then fired again. Worst defensive coordinator in the league.

CP part two

Such a disservice - CP would have some off the wall scheme maximizing our palyers' strengths that would succeed before crumbling and failing to adapt to cost us the game.

Bill Davis just calls plays that may or may not work, regardless of who is playing - just sad.

To run the 3-4, you must have a DC that has imagination, that can keep the offense guessing as to where the pressure will come from. If I can sit at home and say exactly where it will come from, the offensive line can too.

Well said Stout. There diffinately is no imagination to our blitz schemes. I watch the Ravens, Chargers, Chiefs, Pats, & Stealers every week and our D runs nothing schematically that they do rushing the passer. Comparing our D to any of these just by watching them run & play is a joke!!!

Candidates:
1) Kevin Greene
2) Keith Butler
3) Tim Lewis
4) Wade Phillips

But we also needs some young stud OLB's to add to the mix also.

Wade Phillips please. He has done it for years, and his chances of taking a head coaching job in the next couple years are minimal.

You can fire all of the coordinators that you want but unless you get to the root of the problem nothing will change.

LMAO... Right on man! More engineers I say! :D

LMAO........Just fire the whole staff except the man responsible for hiring each and every one of them! Get rid of Grimm and Davis! That will do the trick! Brilliant idea! Anderson will all of a sudden turn into Aikman, the defense will play smart football, and the O-line will block.... all overnight! Hell, lets just have Whiz call all plays, offense and defense! While he is at it, maybe he can even screw up special teams too!

Hmmm...fired Denny Green and most of his asst's and miraculously the very next season Warner turned back into Warner, the defense started to play smarter football, and the Oline started to block. Warner almost ties the franchise record for TD passes in a season only starting 10 games. The Cards first season at .500 or better in 10 years. By the next season the Cards were in the SB.

Fire 'em all!!

You had one key inclusion there.....I am all for relieving Whizzenator of his duties. People who think you can keep Whiz but can his assistants and everything will be better are living in LALA Land.

The root of the problem is manifold, but it boils down to this: As a head coach, Whiz is great at managing the team, not hands-on running it. He needs to have an OC he can trust to work out a game plan with and allow to run it.

On the defensive side of the ball, Whiz needs a DC he can trust to be creative and come up with a great, inventive plan for controlling the opposing offense. Just as important, he needs the DC to be able to do this almost completely on his own. Basically, he needs a DC that he can go to with the overall game plan, and trust to work from there. He's had two DCs do this, and neither one of them have shown they can adequately handle it. We very much need a DC that can.

The defense has given up 1404 yards in the last 3 games. If Davis doesn't get fired now, I'm convinced Whis will never fire a coordinator mid-season.
