ASU opened their season this weekend sweeping #15 Merrimack. Great start to the season.

As a side note, they had a warmup game against UofA won 16-0. Not a typo. ASU scored 16. To be fair, it was a D1 team playing a club team

That's great. A Hockey school in the desert. Gotta love that.

ASU, ranked #18, swept Northern Michigan v this weekend to get to 4-0. They win 3-2 and 5-1.

Up next, first road trip of the year to play 3-1 Miami (OH)

Road trip to Miami (OH) last weekend yielded a loss and a tie. The loss was a tough one as the Devils held s as 4-1 lead in the 3rd period and gave up 4 unanswered goals with the game winner coming in OT.

I was at last night’s game vs Stonehill and it was looking bleak as the Devils found themselves down 4-1 early in the 3rd period when, lol and behold, they scored 4 unanswered including their game winner in OT. Current record for the ranked Devils is 5-1-1.

Side note: if you like hockey, get yourself down to Mullet for a game. Just a great atmosphere and a great venue

It’s game day. #16 ASU v #2 Denver. Huge opportunity for the Devils to show where they are at the next two nights against an elite team. Really wish I was going to one of the games. I will be trying to follow on the stream.

Huge 6-5 OT win for the Devils! Dylan Jackson with the hat trick. Sloppy game for ASU but they kept fighting back.

Devils got destroyed tonight 8-4. Denver showed why they are #2. The worst part was ASU held a 3-0 lead in 2nd period

Devils win in an OT shootout vs Dartmouth. Devils looked pretty flat but they took the punches and hung in to get the win

I was at the game and if you haven’t seen a game at Mullett, do yourself a favor and see at least one game there. Great venue

Devils trounced Robert Morris twice this weekend scoring 12 total goals and giving up 4. Important to win both of those.

Off week this week then a couple invitational tournaments. Gotta keep the momentum going

Devils hosted and won the Desert Classic Invitational. They beat Harvard and then Nebraska-Omaha in OT for the win. Devils were flat for the first two periods vs Omaha but got things together in the 3rd and OT

Up next: Cornell

Huge two game weekend series vs ranked Cornell. If ASU has any hope for the tournament, sounds like they gotta win both and do so in regulation. I will be at the Friday game

Devastating OT loss last night. That loss could very well end their chance at the tournament. From here on out there is absolutely no room for error

I was there, it was fun. Unfortunately Saturday was even worse.

Friday was a very fun game minus the final score. Cornell was physical and much faster than I thought they’d be given their size. I was very impressed with how they played.
Yeah, it was a miracle we were able to get a OT point...2 disallowed goals helped!

Don’t think so. There was a special price for NCHC TV to steam them that was running
ASU had an rfp out for producing/filming home sports games (for ESPN), and hockey wasn't included. It isn't surprising that hockey wouldn't be included, because it isn't a Big 12 sport, but the RFP specifically mentioned that ASU was looking at possibly finding a local TV company to produce/broadcast home hockey games. The NCHC and NCHC.TV is for streaming only, and it does not prevent a school from signing a deal with a local TV company to produce and broadcast home games, so a promo for NCHC.TV doesn't necessarily mean anything. For example, UND, Duluth, and SCSU have TV deals for all home games. And CC/DU have local/regional TV deals for many of their games as well.

Looks like a local Fox station will broadcast 11 games. These will also be available through NCHC.TV.
