Yall is our Edge group still kinda cheeks? Josh Sweat is our best pass rusher and he had one half more sacks last season than Aiden Hutchinson had in five game last year.

Baron Browning and Zaven Collins would be depth players on most good defenses.
Dont forget Beej and Mr. Nolan! Wait.

I'm very high on Burch as well and think he has a ton of potential. However he also has 0 Sacks, 0 QB pressures and 0 TFLs so far against starting NFL competition. So he still needs to prove a lot before anyone should call him the 2nd best pass rusher on the team.

Remember that Cam Thomas had a monster pre season last year against a bunch of nobodies. He was traded to the Chiefs for a can of peanuts and has already moved on to another team. IMO Burch is a much better prospect than Thomas but again we still need to see what he can do against starter quality players.
Well, it is an indictment against a lot of the other guys we have as well.

Browning has some talent - but other than him who would you have listed as better than Burch?

I feel like i can just tell about a pass rusher by watching them against almost any competition - Burch has some good hand movement, he has power and decent speed.

He wasn't drafted as one, he was drafted to return kicks. He only played WR 6 of 12 years and those where his worst retun years.

@BritCard is spot on here.
Eh I don’t think position really matters.

Some of the best like Josh Cribbs, Dante Hall, Cordarrelle Patterson, Jacoby Jones and now Kavontae Turpin all played WR as well.

If you have the skill set for it then you have the skill set.

And most of those guys are all over 6'. Dante Hall is the exception. Heck, Hester was 6'0". And there are always expectations.

Personally, I prefer return specialist, but core players returning kicks. I hate Patrick Peterson returning kicks for that reason.

That might be worse. Not sure I want to pay a guy $19m a year to play 60%.
But if he plays at a supremely high level at 60% of snaps, and dissipates if he goes to 80....well, you're going to pay a guy of his skill set about that regardless, so I say play him only to the percentage of snaps that he's most effective. It ain't our money.

But he hasn’t really played at that high of a level on 60% of snaps. He’s been above-average.

If the Cardinals turn it over 1 time or less, they win. Anything more and it's very dangerous.
so your saying we need to win the turnover battle coach?

Then maybe win time of possession?

Then maybe get our defense off the field?

Then maybe control the ball efficiently?

So the body type of a WR and CB aren't more similar than to a RB. I assumed that was Brits point was.

On moving the Chains PK delivered a stat that if KM is sacked 3 or more times then the Cards typically lose, far more than they win. IIRC it was 6 wins and 27 losses.
So don't turn the ball over and protect KM.

Yeah but there's some bad picks there. Penning sucks, tried it at both tackle spots before burying him at Guard. Banks is a rookie. Fuaga is year 2 after allowing 6 sacks a s a rookie and being mid. Penning might not play too.

Bit of a mirage. I'm not too worried about their OL.

Saints starters aren't too bad, but because of their cap situation their roster drops off a cliff after that 22. If they have injuries they are going to be real bad.
I think Penning makes a better guard. He has real trouble with outside speed.

I know we have excellent depth now at the position. But our DT room is suddenly thinning out drastically. Nolen, jones, Nichols out for 4 games. Now stills out of practice with a foot injury.

Hope our injury luck changes soon. Not sure how much more this room can take injury wise

I don't like any of our kick returners, but the number one thing a returner needs to do is be able to solidly catch the kick. One turnover negates 100 return yards.

Knight is on the roster because of his abilities as a running back.
I agree and I guess they truly think someone will snatch him up if they release him. But he is not going to be active unless someone gets hurt.

I have to say I am not worried about that defense AT ALL.
Yeah, it's hard to believe they can shut down our run game. But, you never know of course. I expect our RBs to have pretty gaudy numbers this week and our passing to be low unless we pop a couple of big passes. But I think Kyler will have under 20 pass attempts if we run as effectively as I have the feeling we will.
