The Arizona Cardinals will face the New Orleans Saints for the second consecutive season. Last season, they opened the year on the road against the Saints, beating them 20-19. The Saints had Spencer Rattler start at quarterback.
This coming season, they will face the Saints again, again in New Orleans, but this time, their starting quarterback, barring injury, will be Tyler Shough.
Shough has not yet faced the Cardinals in his career. He was a rookie last season.
He took over the starting job midseason, starting nine games. He went 5-4 in those games and completed 67.6% of his passes for 2,384 yards, 10 touchdowns and six interceptions. He also rushed for 186 yards and three touchdowns. He finished second in Offensive Rookie of the Year voting.
He is one of four projected starting quarterbacks who have not faced the Cardinals before this season.
