Here's the replay (the 2nd replay is the best angle). It's a little hard to tell, because Jones goes out of the picture just a little while the ball is in the air, but when he comes back into the frame, he's still moving across the field at about the same speed.

The DB was closing on him very quickly so maybe that's what you're seeing.
