Not only did the Cardinals have one of THE most difficult schedules, but the lack of depth killed them when the injuries happened, especially on the OL. I mean by the end of the season Hernandez, Paris, and Jonah Williams were all gone.

I am optimistic, but realistic. The playoffs are possible; the Super Bowl is not.

22. Arizona Cardinals

Post-free agency ranking: 20

Most improved position: Defensive front

The Cardinals set out to improve their entire defensive front at the start of this offseason. And that's exactly what they did through the additions of edge Josh Sweat and defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson in free agency, the re-signing of L.J. Collier, and the drafting of defensive tackle Walter Nolen and edge Jordan Burch. Arizona bolstered its starting lineup and added depth to a front that has become formidable, both in size and talent. -- Josh Weinfuss

so, the consensus is that we had one of the better drafts this year. But somehow that draft made us drop two spots in the power rankings from 20 to 22??

It seems like most of these sites have big concerns with our offense and rightfully so

D can be solid but we still need to put points on the board

Even with the talent upgrade, I do hope Gannon & Rallis continue to run a chaotic defense. Not as much as the past two years where it was damn near a necessity to make plays, but don’t go fully away from it. Really don’t want the playcalling to be bland & predictable with the talent upgrade now. That was a concern with Gannon in Philly. Talent was so great that it didn’t matter what they called on defense. Even average QBs manage to get a lot of yards on them though.

Position of need: Inside linebacker

The departure of Kyzir White, who wore the green dot last season, underlines the Cardinals' linebacker questions. Last season marked Mack Wilson Sr.'s first as a full-time starter since 2019. So there isn't a long track record of success. Playing next to him will be Akeem Davis-Gaither, who started double-digit games for the first time last season but has had tackling issues in the past.

The backups are third-year man Owen Pappoe and fourth-round rookie Cody Simon, who led Ohio State in tackles in

I'm not worried about ILB all that much.

If you are asking me the biggest needs for the Cardinals it's WR and OG.
