We swept the niners last year and probably should have swept the lambs.

I'm more worried about SEA. Maybe Donald changes back into pumpkin, but maybe he doesn't.

And their defense kicked our offense's @ss last year. That was not a competitive match up.
The point, this article was penned from the Rams side of the house not homegrown.

SF figures to be much healthier -- so they will be better - but their defense was bad last year even if the guys returning on D were mostly healthy
Their scoring defense was bad. Their yardage defense was better than ours (8th). Go figure.

Zo talks about Cardinals draft. It's actually a pretty good interview. I don't know who Mark McClune is. I guess he's a local sports guy. He seemed pretty objective and reasonable though.

SEA is fascinating. Geno was always really good against the Cards. Darnold will go from a top 3 situation for a QB last year to .... something below average. This will test my theory that QBs are ~60% a reflection of the 10 other guys on offense.
I can’t wait to see Darnold trying to cope with the new pass rush.

The Cardinals have signed five of their seven selections, with only first-round pick Walter Nolen III and second-round pick Will Johnson unsigned.

I like that they are being proactive in getting our picks signed

2 to go, get it done MO

That’s why there should be guarded judgements on rookies. They all get bigger and stronger for year 2 and are more comfortable and know the NFL.

I expect big things out of Robinson and Harrison this year. And not so much out of Nolen and Burch. The NFL is tough. Rookies have to learn. Jalen Carter wasn’t anything in year 1 like he was in year 2.

We are due to have a Boldin like rookie season for a draft choice. Way overdue…

Even with the talent upgrade, I do hope Gannon & Rallis continue to run a chaotic defense. Not as much as the past two years where it was damn near a necessity to make plays, but don’t go fully away from it. Really don’t want the playcalling to be bland & predictable with the talent upgrade now. That was a concern with Gannon in Philly. Talent was so great that it didn’t matter what they called on defense. Even average QBs manage to get a lot of yards on them though.

Speaking of which. This is a very good read; everybody should check it out.

Rallis was one of the chief architects of the shift. The Cardinals’ coordinator is one of the best young defensive minds in the league. He isn’t an innovative designer, but he ID’s the right stuff to pilfer – and he knows when to deploy it.

Refreshing hearing this.
