His defense is similar to Book's. He can be serviceable at times but he falls off a cliff sometimes as well and becomes a defensive liability. The Suns better get good value for Durant or they simply won't have enough to do anything meaningful barring a shock trade for #1.
Yup, they had better get a good haul, given this Bane trade. Otherwise, they'll look like an amateur hour clown show even more than they do already.

I expect not to be impressed. My expectations are really low. Reeaaally low.

I don't know what to expect. I'm happy to get this chapter closed for the most part. We'll be paying for him until 2029 but the product on the court can't get any worse. 36 wins might as well be 26 or 16 wins since we didn't make the play in and the games were a slog to get through. I'm fine with 50+ losses if the basketball improves. The lowly Bender/Chriss team brought more excitement, IMO.

magic may have overpaid but they got their man quick and it was announced during the nba finals - this not only tells us there's not already a trade set in stone ready to go - it also tells us no one is pursuing kd in the same fashion - there isn't a team out there who knows to an absolute that they want kd

this does not bode well for ish - this means it's a buyer's market as it pertains to kd - it means the slim reaper will reap slim pickens - it means we'll be lucky to get a kfc 3 piece

i believe that's why ish recently stated kd may not be consulted or asked for approval - which is ishiotic considering kd can still decide if he'll sign an extension with whatever destination - because nobody wants a disgruntled 37 year old $50+ million a year kd - especially with the apron situation

i think ish is growing more frustrated

Or it says the Suns haven't received a sweetheart offer they couldn't refuse like Memphis did. The rest is conjecture.

This really doesn't say anything about the KD situation except we haven't received a ludicrous offer.

Memphis doesn't realize what bad is yet. Could they blow it up?

They're the team to watch when it comes to Giannis. They could offer up those Bane picks, their own, and JJJ. How does Milwaukee say no?

Something is going to pop. Maybe a poster needs to stay on duty tonight. Of course, we need a good night's sleep. :)

I think it's more likely they tear down the whole thing. I get the impression that they don't trust Morant, either physically or mentally.

I know you have the best intent, but I just cannot take accounts like that even remotely seriously. These accounts that just regurgitate other "insiders" information or post stuff that is vague and can be interpreted in a million ways (a Flex MO) are just not worth any conversation.

This is about 97-98% of the stuff out there and this is after sifting through it.

When the trade went down Windy tried to shift focus to Ja and JJJ about being next. The only person who's goated now is shams, taking over Woj's spot in the association.

I saw rumblings on Twitter about JJJ being used to improve around Ja going to back to the end of the season. I can't find much now because so much has come up in the last few days that swimming through the nonsense is exhausting. I believe Memphis goal was improving vs a complete teardown because Ja is a franchise level talent in the modern league. Although he may lack the character to actually become a franchise player the talent is there and that's a different conversation. Retooling makes sense before a complete teardown, more so than what the Suns are doing. Their war chest is full now and they could make a splash going forward. I'd be surprised if they dealt JJJ outside of a Giannis deal because they can replace Bane or upgrade at SF with the assets they got from Orlando. KCP is a stop gap that gives them some leeway, IMO.

I miss Woj. He'd be more specific with rumors than Shams has been. Shams is definitely the GOAT when it comes to NBA dealings now though. It sucks we don't have a clear #2 like Shams was to Woj before so the amount of info leaves a lot of to be desired.

I actually agree with Windy. I think this is an indicator that the Grizz are probably going to blow it up.

IMO they don’t trust Ja, nor should they.

Some of these trades can be for other moves these teams make (for example with the Suns) or facilitate teams to change their strategy which could also impact the Suns.

I would like to think that is why the Grizz acquired 4 picks to send along with JJJ to us.

That would be almost akin to the Suns getting Giannis for Durant.

Sadly the Grizz probably take a swing at Giannis with those new assets versus acquiring a 38 year old seeking a contract extension.
