If that is Bane’s value what is Book’s?
5 firsts and 3 pick swaps.

Maybe there is some validity to the Memphis trying to get KD now, using a bunch of firsts and filler to get him.

Ja/Pope/KD/JJJ/Adams could pretty formidable assuming they’re ever able to get on the court and off the trainers table.

I wondered the same. The Magic are gambling since their core is so young but to make a Godfather like offer for Bane is insane, IMO.

Suggs, Bane, Wagner, Paolo, and Carter is a really good starting 5 on both sides of the ball.

Exactly - that is crazy. If he is worth 4 book should be worth 8.
I’d say more like 5 and a good young player because Bane is two years younger and a good defender whereas Devin has leaked like a sieve on defense save 2 out of his 10 seasons in the league.

I dunno bane might be considered just as valuable as Booker. He’s younger and his numbers are pretty similar (scoring slightly less but at a career 3p% clip of 41%!). I didn’t think this until I went and looked at his stats.

The good news: helps affirm the crazy market rates for trades.

The bad news:removes a hungry trade partner from the bidders (I considered the Magic darkhorse prospects for Kd or Booker)

3 and D is what's hot right now - youth is too and bane is built for the playoffs but damn..

Maybe another trade is coming down. Memphis has the draft picks.

His defense is similar to Book's. He can be serviceable at times but he falls off a cliff sometimes as well and becomes a defensive liability. The Suns better get good value for Durant or they simply won't have enough to do anything meaningful barring a shock trade for #1.

If Durant can fetch a good trade, then the Suns would still be in business without trading Booker.

I would be open to offers after seeing this deal for Bane but it needs to be a deal better than this and that's tough to imagine.

The Suns are talking to multiple teams now about KD. Book's name has come up. I just hope they listen to the offers rather than shut them down entirely. They're in the drivers seat and have all the leverage in regards to him.

I don't want to trade Booker unless he wants to be traded. Personally, there is a loyalty factor in play for me.

If the Suns can get a good return for Durant and rid itself of Beal's contract they are back in business.

Only if they can swing for a #1 player to play alongside him. IMO, that's the only way we get back in business as long as Book is here.

If anything this probably ups the Heat’s offer. Orlando was already a little bit better than them. We’re not getting Ware

I like that for Memphis, 4 1sts for Bane is insane.
four UNPROTECTED PICKS starting with this year's first rounder. Then you see Luka getting traded for so little. These trades make no sense. I like Bridges, but was he worth four picks? Bane has four years left on his contract. That's supposedly why the four first round picks.

That Luka trade just looks more insane by the minute.

As long as Booker is your best player we aren’t in any business

That is quite the price tag for a guy with zero accolades. Bane is a good player but he’s not a guy you can run your office through and he’s also not a high-end defender. He’s not exactly a tank either, he’s missed a decent chunk of games pretty much every year of his career.

Of all the trades where a team has cashed in pretty much every pick they can send out this is the strangest.
