Diana Taurasi looks like she's done, I'm afraid. At least 2 steps slow.

She injured her back and came back quickly. Of course she
is in the twilight of her career, but I wouldn't call her done.

Yes, not replacing our leading rebounder, DeWanna Bonner, was a mistake.

Of course, DB being our leading rebounder consistently from a Wing position
doesn't make 6'9" Brittney Griner look good. It evidently gave BG a false
sense of security.

I wonder if Sandy had a discussion with her about that prior to the trade.

It is Friday the 21st and the Mercury game on CBSSN (Cox Channel 312) starts at 7:00,
although they are starting a new boxing match right now???

reasons (whatever that means) and the Mercury are starting three Guards.

Hartley joining the starting lineup should result in a very high scoring Mercury team.
Sylvia Fowles, Minnesota's Big, is out.

And DT hits a 3 to start the game. The announcers say she is setting up like a "4" (like
when DeWanna Bonner used to step up to do that).

It's 13-9 Minnesota halfway through the 1st quarter. And 26-24 at the end of the quarter.

Minnesota has been up by a few points through the first half, but has opened a 51-42 halftime
lead. Diana seemed to be holding back while it was close, saving it for the 4th quarter.

Hartley has 13 points to lead all Mercury scorers and has 3 fouls in the first half.

Down by 9 in the 3rd. Really disappointed in our defense so far. Griner is out and I am curious as to why.
