Yaaaaaaas!!!! Yesterday was Christmas Eve with Mom (DBacks) and today is Christmas Day with Dad! Yay sports!

With the prospect of continued disappointments from both the D-backs and Suns,
the bright spot is our Mighty Mercury. Their new roster combo, their great Coach
Sandy Brondello and Annie keeping her eyes on things.

Even at home, we are the X-factor. Except for the dunks and blocks (I hope
Brittney stands out in both), it is just as talented basketball as the NBA.

Half an hour 'til game time on ABC. Let the satisfaction begin!

The Mercury are down by 24 after 3 quarters of Game 1. With so
many new faces, they'll have to build chemistry. And fight fatigue.

Brittney Griner announced she wants to be WNBA MVP this season.

But she is the biggest disappointment so far. It has been years since
she has been a difference maker. Despite her height advantage, she
seems almost afraid to take advantage of it.

Wilt Chamberlain never held back despite his size advantage in the
post. Griner needs to step up and exercise the same mentality. I
don't know what is holding her back.

Her two quick fouls to start the game are not an excuse. They are
part of the problem. She should know better!

I agree about BG. If she truly wants to be league MVP, today’s game is a horrible start.
