1 - Brissett gives me hope going into each game. Murray does not. It’s that simple.

2 - Walter Nolen is my new best friend.

3 - If you didn’t know, that was a 2023 first team All-Pro cornerback that Harrison made look like a fringe backup.

4 - This is the version of Josh Sweat I was hoping for when they signed him. Dominant all game.

5 - Well, what do you know! Turns out that Kelvin Beachum is even worse than Jonah Williams.

6 - We agree that Tre McBride is important for the teams’ success, right? Well, he has four touchdowns in three games with Brissett, and five in 39 games with Murray.

7 - Sweating, shaking and a heart rate of 150 going into the fourth quarter. #Dejavu

8 - Honestly, if Gannon goes back to Murray, I hope he loses the locker room. He should. Yes, I know that I am crossing a bridge that is not there yet, but Gannon did in fact say after the game that he will take the road that will lead us all directly into dark, empty hopelessness. If so, that should be reason for dismissal.

9 - Hernandez has not been the upgrade over Isaiah Adams you would expect.

10 - Clearly, my guy Bam Knight will be a Hall of Famer, but I kind of look forward to Benson coming back, only because I want to see what he can do. This season might be lost, so I want to see improvement the rest of the way. Getting hope for the future.

1. 100%
8. If he goes back to Murray it might be for only one game

TBH - If Murray were on another team, we would probably want to trade for him. With the success of resurrected QB's - Baker, Daniel Jones, and Darnold - this seems to be the trend right now. QB's are too valuable and he is too talented for teams not to think they can do the same.

Edit- I am not defending K1 - just making an observation.

1. Absolutely
2. It’s early, but me likey!
3. Amazing what happens when you get a star player involved early.
4. Keep it going Josh.
5. Ugh. Right tackle just ugh.
6. What a difference a QB makes.
7. Of course!
8. If Gannon goes back to Murray it will because he is being made to. I think Murray ends up on I.R. It gets everybody off the hook. But will Kyler play along?
9. Better than anybody else we have at that position.
10. Breece Hall would be awesome especially with the questions around Connor coming back.

Good job!!!!

Speaking of MHJ, I couldn’t believe the stat that showed his career high in catches was only 6. I told my wife I couldn’t believe they have gone 1.5 years and still choose not to try and feed him the ball. Guys like Nabers have had games with like 15-20 targets

I agree with this as well... would anyone put it past Bidwill being the driving force here and not paying someone that much money to sit on the bench?

And he was dominating. Then in the second half he had like 1 target? Petzing doing Petzing things.

Again it has been said they started rolling safety help over to MHJ. How do you guys all know it’s the scheme and not the quarterback adjusting due to the defenses adjustment? JB still decides to throw to based off what the D is giving him?

I’ve been thinking the best two QBs the Arizona Cardinals have had were both resurrected.

We missed out on several chances to resurrect a number of QBs because we had Kyler.

I do not think we should waste a first round pick on a QB. Let’s fix the OL first.

I might add our receivers aren’t as bad as people have said given a competent QB with the ability see the field.

I dunno about that. No one here would want Trever Lawrence or Tua. It would be amazing to make a reclamation project out of Zach Wilson though.

He’s already paying him. I don’t think it makes a lot of difference right now.

Good stuff!

Bizarre, but I was wondering about Deshaun Watson. Probably washed and not for 45 per, but a one year gamble like TB did with Mayfield.

Nice set. I disagree on 9. He just played his best game working back into shape. On 8 many players do believe you shouldn’t lose your job due to injury. On 10 maybe he makes the NCSU HALL.

Nabers doesn't have a top 3 in the league tight end on his team and MHJ does. I do think that MHJ has been under-targeted though.

4. How much of the performance by Sweat had to do with Nolen? Him & CC benefited from the double teams on Nolen. Is there another game this season where Sweat got 2 sacks?

I did see Nolen attracting a fair number of double teams.
I think it would be fairly correct to say Nolen was doubled on at least half of his 20-25 snaps. When they realized how quickly he could get into the backfield, they doubled him. It just sucks that he got hurt early, so many games we had next to no pass rush, insert Nolen, CC & Sweat both get 2 sacks each.

Warm up the massage oil. Jk- it’s an interesting thought. With that Achilles and his injury history now you have to wonder if he has lost that dual threat ability he had with the Texans. I wouldn’t put my eggs in that basket per se, but if we can’t come up with a good QB solution and you want to bring him into training camp to see what he’s got? I wouldn’t be opposed to it

That is a great point, TCF. I think that Murray has more trade value in the offseason than most think. There is a 100% chance that many NFL coaches will think that they are the exact perfect coach to get the most out of Murray, and we have seen how that can be at a very high level. And they will believe that they, of course, can do the same as the Bucs, Indy, Minnesota.

I don’t think it will happen, but I just want to add that both BA and Keim have said that the Cards scouted Watson pretty extensively before that draft, and Bidwill even created a relationship with Dabo Swinney back then.
