1 - Sell Murray. Go with Brissett.

2 – Gannon has not lost the team. I actually thought that was a very real risk, especially after Bidwill castrated him in front of the entire team, but no, the players still play hard for him.

3 – P.J. Mustipher has carried his impressive performances from training camp into the regular season. Nice surprise.

4 – I don’t want to keep exposing someone as a problem in this column, but it’s also pointless since Jonah Willliams does it much better himself.

5 – Truth be told – it is good for Gannon’s and Ossenfort’s job security with all these injuries. Easier to evade responsibility.

6 – Kitan Crawford signing seriously in as a special teams deamon.

7 – I think we can all agree that my guy, Bam Knight, gives them a chance to get to the Super Bowl.

8 – The Cardinals are close. They are not a bad team. You are what your records say you are, but still, even at 2-4, the point-differential is +3 through six games.

“Fun” stat: The Cards became the 10th team since 2000 to lose four in a row after leading or being tied in the fourth quarter each time.

9 – None of Isaiah Adams’ games has been as bad as Will Hernandez’ yesterday.

10 – Akeem Davis-Gaither has been a nice pickup.

Disagree on Will H. He had some bad plays yes rust and not in game shape and played the whole game but he was also going against Buckner. There were games with Adams where I felt there was literally nothing the Cards could do one guy was so bad it was wrecking the whole offense.

Will can and hopefully will play better but I really think he's already a huge upgrade to Adams despite not being 100% back

I saw several plays where he was beaten by Grover Stewart, and even one where he was humiliated by Austin Ajiake. Who is that?
I like Hernandez a lot more than Adams, but this was a horrible game from him.

What not bad team loses to the Titans?
That is fair, Dvontel. Touché. I will say, though, that the Colts have only won one game with fewer point differential, and neither the Seahawks nor the Niners have won any (okay, Niners won in overtime one time, but technically with a bigger margin than against the Cards). Every team has a f’up at some point.

No, I agree with you that you are what you put on the field. There are no moral victories. But I do think it says something if you barely lose or if you get blown out.

The Kyler supporters are coming up with all kind of excuses why Brissett Excelled. Same line, lesser rb room, same receivers.
But Kyler’s buddies will claim the OC called for more passing.
Maybe there’s a reason for that.
Good post as always.
He excelled so much we lost with the ball in his hands at the end of the game and throwing a pick in the redzone before that.

Vokolek suffered a neck injury on the opening kickoff and had to be carted off the field. He was taken to a local hospital, but the team announced postgame that he was able to travel home with the team.

1. I hope Kyler turns it around but if the current trend continues you can't spend 46 million large on him. At that price he is probably untradeable.

2. I am higher on JG than most, but he has to commit to a new offensive staff in the offseason or he is on very thin ice. The offensive struggles aren't only on Kyler.

This is quite a normal take on this board, but it is simply not correct, TR. Murray’s contract is above average for a QB, but nothing crazy at all. And a new team would owe him no guarantees for next season, so they can theoretically just move on if they want.
Look at it the other way around: can a team afford not to take the chance? Aaron Glenn has a long relationship with Murray, and Lord knows the Jets need something potentially exciting. Pete Carroll knows Murray very well from the division, and the Raiders are also in trouble. They are paying Geno Smith a lot of money this year, but next year they can cut him with very little ramifications, and again, can they afford to keep going with him? Likewise with the Jets, only they will get an even smaller dead cap hit if they cut Fields after this season.
Now, with those two teams specifically (but actually with most teams) their salary cap budget for this season was made a long time ago, but as we know, the salary cap doesn’t really matter, so teams can easily get around that if they want.
I have mentioned it many times, so sorry about the repeat-repeat, but pretty much every NFL coach think they are God’s gift to coaching, and that they are the perfect coach to get the best out of a certain player. Further, fit matter. There are many examples of a quarterback not fulfilling his potential with one team but then blossom with another. Murray has undeniable talent, so it is easy to see why he would appeal to multiple teams.

I agree with this. If significant changes were made (Petzing and Murray out), I would be okay with keeping Gannon. That said, I am very attractive by Harry's suggestion of Robert Saleh as the HC, and then I will add that he should bring his good friend, Mike McDaniel with him as the OC (if McDaniel is fired by the Dolphins).

Can anybody explain to me why they think Mike McDaniel is good? I watch the Dolphins often because I like both Waddle and Achane. their offense is "interesting" lots of pre snap movement, guys in motion etc but basically the entire offense is what we did with Kliff, sideways passes, short passes. He's smart enough to understand how good Achane is but he's basically just dumping the ball to him and saying make a great play. I'm sure SOME of that is because Tua has a noodle arm but I just don't see it

He's been in 2 Superbowls both an assistant to Shanahan, I think it's pretty clear he was not the one that got Shanahan there. He was a run game coordinator but that's actually one of the weaknesses of the Dolphins(their OL is terrible).

His entire career is based on he worked with other guys who were good coaches, Kubiak, Mike Shanahan, Mike's son.

He may be better than Petzing but at least so far he hasn't shown the ability to do on his own what he does when working for other people.

NOw if he brings Achane or Waddle, or both, with him, yeah I'm onboard

Don’t look at the whiners offense with McCaffery.

It’s the exact same thing. Thank god there are coaches that actually coach to players strengths. Here we just throw to TEs and neglect our number 1 WR and take our dynamic QB and make him a pocket passer.

McDanies is light years ahead of BPB in terms of offensive inventiveness

You mean the 49ers that don't have any of their WR's? Deebo gone in the offseason, Aiyuk out all year, Jennings hurt off and on and they played without Pearsall the last game. And no Kittle. Of course they throw to the RB's and TE's it is all they have

mcDaniel IMO basically wasted 2 1/2 years of Waddle and Hill together, if Tua can't make the throws get someone who can.
