    Kipers Latest

My latest.........Von Miller is growing on me and we do end up with the 10th pick, he's my guy.

    Giving Whiz his due-----

I'd be absolutely shocked if the decision was anyone other than Whiz's. He and Matty pubically fueded and cutting him reaked of a move made for personal reasons as opposed to sound football reasons.

Cardinals' Off-Season Preview With The Lockout Looming

If the league goes to a 17 game season for a bit before jumping up to 18 games, I'd love to see them play some nuetral site games at places that don't normally have NFL games and more games outside the US.

    Offseason Restructure and overhaul

Going for the ball instead of pure form tackling isn't a Billy Davis thing, it's a league wide problem. Every single game I've watched the past couple of years is full of guys trying to strip the ball instead of take down the ball carrier. Hell listen to any NFL analyst when they talk about...

    Offseason Restructure and overhaul

I'm glad someone said it. I don't care how valid someone's point is if it's written like this. It's impossible to read this all the way through without developing a maddening headache.

    Cardinals' Thoughts Du Jour

My thoughts exactly. Not to mention that you don't hand the role of OC to a guy who's never held a coaching position of any kind at any level. Great players don't equate to great or even good coaches. If anything, great players more often than not fail at coaching. Another question.....I've...

Which of our guys are facing free agency this offseason, both RFA and UFA?

Mizzou vs Iowa "Blaine Gabbert Audition"

Gabbert has strengths and weaknesses just like every other QB prospect out there but the one thing that sorta stuck out to me last night is that he seemed to pull the ball down and run too quickly. He's either doesn't trust his ability to go through the reads quick enough or he doesn't have very...

    Skelton, what to do?

First and foremost, if Luck is avaliable then you take him, but I'm assuming he's long gone by the time we're on the clock. In that case I say take BPA and I hope that's either a pass rusher or a OT, but I think it'll be one of the top CB's (which is fine too). That probably leaves immediate...

Mizzou vs Iowa "Blaine Gabbert Audition"

Bowers is strictly a 4-3 DE, there's no reason to even watch tape on the kid.

    "Core" of the team

On Offense, I think it's Fitz and Fitz only. If Timmy could hold onto the ball he'd be a fringe core guy for me just b/c he's also dirt cheap. On defense though I think there are quite a few: DD, CC, Williams, Washington and DRC

Ah, well that's work out well for them.

    Porter Injured

Porter's a very proud guy, I really doubt he'd go along with a fake or exaggerated injury to let a young guy get more snaps, even if it is for the betterment of the team. Afterall he was cut last year for griping about losing snaps to Cameron Wake.

The Official [insert name here] for D-Coordinator Thread

I have no idea what Don Capers is doing right now but he's always been a pretty big 3-4 guy.

Whis Handing Off Play Calling to Mike Miller

So whiz didn't announce it b/c he didn't want Miller to be blamed......and then when the criticism gets too loud he decides its the perfect time to announce it. Might what wonder timing you have Whiz.

    Skelton

What scouts have you read that don't have Mallet in the first round? I understand Locker is a fringe first rounder by some accounts but I haven't seen Mallet outside of the top 32 in a while.

    Possible 2011 Schedule

Would you rather play Green Bay or Chicago? The only difference between our schedule and the schedule or whoever wins the West is that we play other last place teams and they play other division winners. Ergo our schedule is easier.

    Possible 2011 Schedule

Oddly somehow both teams seem to finish in the same place in their respective divisions. As long as they continue to do that they'll play every single year. Hopefully the Panthers win their division next year.

    Possible 2011 Schedule

that's impossible to project at this point and the one thing we know for sure at this point, is that we should have the easiest schedule in our division. I'd much rather play Carolina and Detroit as opposed to Chicago and Atlanta or Green Bay and New Orleans.

OT: Who Else Is Tired Of The NFC West Bashing?

The big difference in my mind is/was that San Diego was thought of as a vastly underachieving team with tons of talent. Seattle or St Louis are very average 8-8 or 7-9 teams and some might even argue they've overacheived to reach that record. Maybe that's just revisionist history on my part but...

Biggest Disappointment of The 2010 Season

My biggest disapointment is Whiz and how he handled the QB situation as a whole. There is no excuse for going into the season with Derek Anderson and two rookies.

Disconnection on O cause longterm problems.

:yeahthat: Some version of this comment should be written on the 2010 Cardinals' headstone. Very well said.

    McShay Breaks Down QB Prospects

Check out this LINK. McShay breaks down Luck, Locker, Mallet and Newton while also mentioning Blaine Gabbert of Missouri. I'll be honest and admit that I haven't seen a single snap that Gabbert has taken this season but if you scroll to the bottom of the article, Scout's Inc has their top 32...

    Week 14 Impressions: Panthers 19 Cardinals 12

Prior to the 4th quarter, 10 of 23 for 75 yards. How can he be a positive? His only success came against a prevent defense in the fourth quarter when the score was 19-3 and we were running a hurry up offense (7 of 10 for 121 in the fourth). I guess if there is some way we can ensure he'll...
