How do y'all do paid? I think it's prohibited in Arizona unless the commissioner handles the money pot himself.

2 leagues is all I can take
Tried more in the way past....it’s just dumb
You end up rooting for and against the same guy
And don’t get me started in free leagues....they’re the worst

This. Unless you try and draft the same team in every league, you always end up having to root against your own guys on multiple occasions. I only do 2 leagues and sometimes that is one too many.

I think it's one of those things where I doubt the cops are really in the game of making sure fantasy football leagues are being run to regulation.

I normally draft similar players as my strategy is normally pretty well formed early on.

I am commissioner and handle money myself. $100 buy in.

League champion: $640

Second place: $300

Highest points for the week: $20

jesus christ man

I was in two leagues once and it was overwhelming. no thank you.
Try basketball or baseball! Those leagues are killers! You are doing your lineups every day. I agree. Two is the most I've been in at one time.

This will be my 22nd year in the only league I’ve played in and we still have 6 original members. It’s gotten pricey but it’s a good excuse to get back to Arizona once a year for the draft.

Who said cops were involved? If you live in the state of Arizona you can't compete in money leagues on Yahoo.

I didn't even know Yahoo had the ability to transit money for a league, and I've been a commish on there for at least a decade.

Most of my leagues just use Venmo or collect the cash in a jar.

I never understood this - I prefer banter to the money. Especially in Vegas, where I can bet on everything. If I was financially motivated, I'd just go hit the sportsbook.
Eh too easy to have one or two players just give up in free leagues. That’s why we have a “Booby” and “Double Booby” penalties for teams finishing last and 2nd to last.

My league has been running for 29 years. Still have 7 original teams. Two more joined 26 years ago and the final team has now been involved for 8 years. It’s an annual ritual for us to all get together from Seattle, Orange County, Austin, ny, dc, nj in a different city every year over Labor Day weekend. Last year was the first that we brought spouses. May be another 28 years before we do that again. We’ve hit:
Vegas
NYC
Dc
Chicago
New Orleans
San Diego
Seattle
Charleston
Miami
Orange County
Austin
The hamptons
Los Angeles

Been talk of Nashville, dude ranch in Montana, jersey shore, Santa Barbara, Tahoe - interesting how location has evolved as we have aged.

I don't play FF anymore. It was way too stressful for me. Lol.

Sounds pretty fun, I wish I had some cool friends like that.

Had a draft last night, K1 was drafted in the 5th round surprisingly and the guy renamed his team to “CobraKyler”

I am in a keeper league with the dudes on my weed forum...
was gonna keep gurley, kamara, and dalvin cook like I did last year... but I am really uncertain about Gurley.... the dude cost me the championship last year with his "game time decision" on playing....I started him, and the dude on my bench scored 30 while gurley didnt play....I lost by 16

should I keep him or dump him??...was considering keeping him but drafting a rookie like Josh Jacobs to maybe replace him next season as a keeper.

was considering drafting Kyler in the fourth or fifth round

Keep Gurley. All reports out of training camp are promising, as far as his knee is concerned. He may not get as many touches, but he still should be an integral part of the offense.

Drafted Kyler again today. Paired with Mayfield.

For as much as I complain, I’m on board for the ride.

I took him first overall in my dynasty league rookie draft this year (2qb). I've never had a Cardinals QB in fantasy so this should add some extra excitement!

Update: Now that all is said and done, I ended up with Kyler in 6 out of 7 leagues.

I have my doubts in real football, but I have a feeling he's going to have a super high floor because of the rushing, and being behind in a lot of games. I drafted a backup in each league just in case, but bring on the season!
