That’s why we drafted the slowest wr in the league.
Apparently scouts were saying that everyone taken past the 4th round in this draft would have been an UDFA in a normal draft. All the talented guys that normally would have gone day 3 took NIL money and stayed an extra year.

That’s a bit of an exaggeration. Underclassmen entries were down by about 60 guys. So two round a light is more like it.

sounds like he's been to hell and beck - horrible injury - didn't give up - went beck to school - came beck stronger which shows imbeckable character (imo) - good feet too - can throw on the run - nice beck peddle - resbecktable size - can see over the line - not a statue like brissett but isn't afraid to stand in the pocket and take a hit - i think that's how he got injured

upon closer insbecktion - i like this pick
ooh mama beck looking good out the gates

i'm on a sativa strain tonight so don't expect the wordplay but beck impressed in his cardinal debut

both defenses were lousy but beck still made progressions and reads - stayed in the pocket - good pressure awareness - got the ball out scrambled for a first - threw the ball away in what asfn would describe as the "correct fashion"

beck called a couple audibles when he recognized what the defense was doing - idk if it was the same defensive sets the panthers ran in the first half or if beck is just that badass lol

lafleur was having fun - he let it fly on 4th and 5 - beck made the deeeep throw but virgil made the drop - it would have given beck another 40+ yards but beck still had himself a night

15 for 19 - 188 yds 1 sack 1 touchdown no picks

it's safe to say it doesn't mean anything at this point in time other than we might have something in carson beck - he looked pretty damn good

Beck looked composed and seemed to have a good grasp of the offense. Can’t read too much into it but good game by the rook. The problem this year, again, will be the defense. I know, “no duh”.

I don’t think we should discredit a meaningful step forward for QB even if the defense is still awful.
