carson beck was the 3rd qb selected off the board - 3rd qb typically gets picked late in the 1st round - if not the 2nd but it was a weird draft with all the hyper focus being on next year's draft - mendoza was the only no brainer (unless you ask the rams)

Content szn. Nothing to talk about but baseball for the next 10 days.

Especially from the yahoos at PHNX who say this stuff about every draft class (and it equally true in the first few weeks in August for any team).

Fwiw Chris Simms (on Cowherd's show) called CB a borderline starter, but potentially one of the best backoffs in the league. Perhaps some internet savvy member can find and post it.

What does Chris Simms know. He was a 3rd round draft pick (97th overall). :D

Agreed completely. He did everything he could possibly do coming out of the gate. Couldn't have asked for better from him. Still questionable as to where he goes from here, but, man, wouldn't it be great if the Cards got a QB steal in the 3rd? I mean, aren't we, the long-suffering fans, freaking due?
Right!? 9ers have Mr Irrelevant. Seahawks were amazing with prime Russell Wilson. Can we catch a freaking break?

I haven't seen many mention his footwork, but IMO that's one of the things that really stood out to me. He seemed very light on his feet without having Happy Feet in the pocket. It also looked like he was able to sidestep left and right with relative ease.
