im not doing the whole wife beating thing - shaming him for the obvious is futile - i don't have to condone his past - i don't condine his past - but im keeping it basketball - if the league says he's eligible to play im not going to waste my day

if he f***s up again he's gone - him and his contract - that's where im at bro

so yeah - im already looking at whether he fits or not because regardless of we think the dude is suiting up
Of course I do not condone his past behavior. It was horrific. But I also won't convict him for life. I hope he's gotten the best help money can buy and has turned his personal life around. I have to imagine the Suns have looked into this fully. From a basketball standpoint, I think it makes a lot of sense. It's what we've been missing.

Man. I guess the Suns are not worried about that boy scout image any longer bringing in a scumbag, wife beater.

Plus we gave up two of the best shooters in the league (that saved our bacon many times in games) plus a 1st rounder which I bet has no protections knowing this front office.

I thought the trade up in the draft felt desperate. Sheesh!

P.S. if this is a one year rental with giving up those guys and an unprotected pick?!? This is even a worse trade.

judge away my friend - but let me know when you organize the protest and take it to the streets... lol
Lol… domestic abuse is hilarious.

This is what TJ was talking about in the other forum. Tribalism and supporting “your team” no matter what… even when they go out and trade for a guy who viciously beat his wife just a few years ago… all while championing yourself as some kind of ally to women.

It really just says no matter what the Suns do, you’ll support them.

I think it sucks to be a team that welcomes that kind of person to the team. It just sends a terrible message.

If you’re willing to say I don’t care/I will just ignore that this guy beat women now that he’s on the Suns, that’s exactly what you’re doing.

It appears I obviously touched a nerve here. Maybe you should ask yourself why.

The beating of women, kids then a year later throwing balls from a pool table through the window of his victim’s car, violating his court order (again, this happened just three years ago) can’t be separated from who he is a player. And if you’re in support of the move, you’re in support of willfully bringing in someone with that character as well.

Period.

What kind of "big moves" would fit that description? The only real "big move" I could see the Suns making is dealing Booker... and they've said they aren't doing that. Moving Green isn't a big move.

This is from a couple years ago but is very appropriate for today. EJ has a unique perspective as he is a prominent supporter of Helping Hands for Single Moms. We are lucky to have EJ as such a big part of our franchise.

I knew it was rumored the Suns liked Miles Bridges. Now we know it for a fact.

Just from a human standpoint, I hate Bringing a guy who viciously beat his girlfriend on to the team… awful.

Ans from a basketball standpoint, he’s another guy who will stunt the development and game time for Fleming. And we gave up more future picks.

Wonder what the protections are on that 29 pick and is that one of the years we owe swaps or we owe the Rockets?

I think it allows Flem to focus on what he’s good at now.

Then no Allen and Oneale allows CG and Dunn more time as solidified role players.
