Rodgers is 15-18 over the past two seasons. Over 3k passing yards in both. Over 63% comp % in both. Over 24 passing TDs in both.
I think Arizona's offensive talent is superior to Pittsburgh. If it's mostly timing plays and just a few deep shots a game, he can probably do better than those numbers, in AZ.

He is, but behind our awful line, JB is far more durable.
I know that the national media keep using the doom-theory that the Cardinals have an absolutely atrocious offensive line, but I am not sure they have actually thought it through. Paris Johnson is an above average OT and Hjalte Froholdt is an above average C. On top of that, they have brought in Seumalo, who was universally thought of as one of the best OG in free agency, and drafted a projected first-round OG. Sure, RT is a bit of an unknown, but Wilkinson did in fact start all 17 games for the Falcons last season.

An offensive line rarely stays the same throughout the season, but the projected starting five is not as horrendous as the media will make you think.

Oh, and to stay on topic, Rodgers is in a completely different stratosphere than Brissett and Minshew.

One player you forgot to mention when discussing our offense line is TE Tip Reiman who should be back after suffering a season ending ankle injury last October. He is an outstanding blocking TE who can lineup next to RT and be a major contributor.

He must hate playing in Pittsburgh. It's the heart of MAGA country and he is totally a West Coast kind of guy (I am not taking sides, just recognizing Rodgers bent). AZ isn't perfect for him, but its closer. I am sort of "meh" on this. He is due to drop off really quickly. However, I would probably prefer him over Brissett.

I am curious as to why people would be against this signing. Do you think he is not better than Brissett?
me too

at least with Aaron, you can see a path to competing for a playoff spot

i do wonder which Aaron you get: the diva for the Jets, or, what looked like a team guy with the Steelers

I wouldn't totally rule it out. Why? Because he allegedly had interest in the Rams during the Stafford dance two years ago and their former OC is now the Cardinals HC.

Only reason the Cardinals would do it would be to sell tickets.

Why? Do you think Brissett is a better player?
Don't want the drama that comes with Rodgers. Maybe if he was a few years younger, but not now. He would drag out any decision until right before it needs to be made, likely at some darkness retreat. He'd get political rather than focus just on football. He seems more divisive in his old age, and everyone would know this is just a brief stint to try and get fans butts in the seats at State Farm.

I'd rather we legitimately be playing someone with a longer future here in AZ, whether that is Brissett or Beck.

what awful line??

we are weak at RT... thats it,..well, that and we have a rookie RG... but a helluva rookie.

The line isnt an issue..we shouldnt be any worse than anybody else... league average is fine

Our RT started 17 games with Atlanta last season and is a clear upgrade over the turnstiles who manned the position.

You had me up to here:

I don't think there's much separating the two these days.

I don't know about all of this but it is the best path to competitive football.
