This is you changing the goalposts. You asked for a better option in terms of wins and I gave you a better option based on just the past two seasons. Now you are fabricating a story that Brissett is somehow equal to Cousins based on the unprovable alternative universe where Brissett had a better defense last year.

Cousins was 5-3 with a team that ended the year with the 13th pick. Brissett was 1-11 with a team than ended up with the 3rd pick.

No, I asked you for a better option in terms of Cardinals wins. Not what a better roster carried Cousins to in his 174 yards per game.

Cousins turned a roster that had a 9.5 O/U in 2024, and were favorites in the division, into 7 wins and 18/15 ratio. He sucked and was benched for a QB that I think is truly awful.

The talent gap between those teams is not that great.

Man, you are truly lost.

Let's just take the game we played them

Cousins had Bijan, Allgeier, Pitts, London and Mooney and 4 out of 5 of the starting OL.

JB had Carter and Bam. And in order of offensive snaps McBride, Mike Wilson, Higgins, Marv (who only played 51%) and Weaver. Someone called Steven Sims played 7 snaps at WR.

The offensive line was Beachum, Gaines, Fro, Adams and Fryar. Someone went out and Demontray Jacobs played 40% of snaps.

You're in denial about what JB was working with.

How many games do you think Old Man River (not to be confused with Old Man Rivers) would win with the Cards this season? I don't think it would be many more, if any, than JB.
Speaking of rivers that would be funny if we dug up his corpse and propped him up….a rivers has been put in the desert

Well, we now know there's 1 person outside the Brissett family that thinks Jacoby is better than Kirk.

James Harden puts up better numbers than Jaylon Brown. He must be better. Harden's a loser Brown wins titles.

It's not difficult.

Cousins has had a better career but now sucks. Jacoby was better last year.

But ultimately it's irrelevant. I don't care who is better. Both are losing QBs next year on this team in this division. And before this week I don't think anyone would have been banging the drum to sign Cousins, nor do I remember anyone saying he should be our starter in the last 2 months.

Cousins knows the offense, is about as mobile as Brissett, and has a history of winning football games over his career and recently. I don't know what the number would be but I think it's naive to think he hasn't proven to clearly be a better QB than Brissett. Neither is the future, but one clearly gives you a better shot at winning games.
Proven, past tense. JB ain't Joe Montana, but he's younger and more durable. Cousins is in his decline and would get demolished here.

No, I live in St Louis which has become mostly Chief fans. Most of my family are Chief fans. Neighbors, friends etc. They all say good luck with that and saying Chiefs need a better backup. He may be a character but I have yet to see anyone report this as a good move for the Cardinals nor did I see anyone mention him as a possibility. So stick with your twitterx and enjoy your Minshew jersey.
so your source is your mother in law??
Keep on making things up just to spew crap man its all good. its that time of year around here.

come on man, of course the uncle rico jersey stays clean...he never gets to play.

P.S.
My sincere apologies in regards to the M.I.L. comment. I had just woken up and that may have been out of line....if it sounded as if I were insulting the family, be sure that was not my intent.

Cousins can barely move. I watched a few Falcons games last year and he's a shade of his former self.

It's delusions to think he's actually good, and if he was, he'd be signed already.

Without Cousins the Falcons were 3-6 with that juggernaut of talent you are describing.

This is your argument.

In 2025 the Falcons were 5-3 with Cousins and 3-6 without Cousins, but Cousins was 5-3 because of the roster. That is a truly stupid argument.

Agreed, but how many more tanks can I take at my age.
To think that teams will actually purposely tank in the NFL is ludicrous. These players are professionals and to tell me they go out there everyday and beat the crap out of one another taking on long term body damage to purposely lose are thoughts of an all pro Armchair GM/Coach. Teams aren't going to jeopardize the morale of the rest of the team to for the hopes of getting one guy. That is a loser mentality, and if a team is that way, then why would anyone want to be a fan and support that way of business. They will never win.

For what it would cost for Cousins, it's not a bad idea for the Cardinals to bring him in. He's definitely on the down, but he has 2-3 years of productivity in him. That being said, he's going to need an an offensive line that can protect him. If not, I don't think he's a fit here. JB would likely be gone for a later draft pick maybe. I can't remember where I saw it, but someone suggested trading back to the 10-14 range and drafting Ty Simpson. I think that is an option that is probably being considered. That's probably where Simpson goes and I think trading back and adding a pick is a better option than trading back up. I would even consider the option of trading back even later, and if Simpson is gone at that point, then taking the best player available. Pick up another 1st for next year draft and then that would set you up nicely to trade up next year and get the Franchise QB. QB class next year is much better.
