They may be looking at a few more offensive and defensive advisors but this should be it for position coaches.

Agree about Rallis staying is a joke. But to keep crying about cheap owners is also a joke nobody is going to “Come out and say they are not serious about winning”. You have to accept that when you became a Card fan.
Well, no. You can beat up the cheapo owners and support the team. Choosing to be a fan doesn't mean you surrender any right to criticize them.

So clearly no lessons were learned from the first time around hiring a neophyte head coach and a staff with very little NFL head coaching experience.

CAN WE PLEASE START A GOFUNDME FOR A TEAM PRESIDENT?

Pete Kwiatkowski, new #AZCardinals DL coach, was Budda Baker's DC at Washington.

You’re right. For the most part, injuries don’t matter in the NFL. But, there are different levels of injuries. And in 2025, there were more injuries than I have ever seen as a Cardinal fan since 1964. So, there comes a time when injuries DO MATTER. That time was last year.

Rallis is HIGHLY respected around the NFL & I know for a fact that the Eagles would hire him as their DC if we let him go. Vic Fangio really wants to retire & Howie Roseman, the BEST GM in football, LOVES Rallis. When the Eagles tire of Siriani, Rallis will likely be their next HC.
Agree with the massive injury’s matter this time.

I can’t back Rallis it was time to move on

As some around here prove again and again, they'll take whatever slop the FO gives them and like it!
What other choice do you have to cry about everything? I’m not happy either but it isn’t changing as far as new ownership. I’ve stopped owning season ticket and just don’t make them a priority in my life anymore. All I have is hope that things will get better. No point in crying about it. It’s just entertainment, and barely that lately.

i have been critical of the process. At a minimum, they have made the HC and DC choice look like their 2nd choice -- unnecessarily. Further, Mike just loves to force assistant coaches on his new HC. Mike isnt alone in that, but his company in that practice isnt a good group. You would think he would have learned by now. AND: clearly Monti just isnt strong enough to curb Mike's bad instincts.

all that said: whats done is done. I am now in the "hope for the best" mode on the staff. I think LaFleur has a shot to be a good coach.

the am guys on 98.7 (Tim Ring filling in, who IMO is great BTW) were speculating it could be about the money offered

and that would be so dissapointing

because the diff between a good offer and a bad offer at the coordinator level is what? $350k -$500k per season? Its probably less than that. Its peanuts.

maybe Mike wouldn't do a 4 year deal vs a 3 year deal -- which again, in the grand scheme and with offsets, isnt really much money.

good grief.
Thats why it’s hard for me to believe he would be cheap about petty stuff like that. But he definitely didn’t blow their socks off or we would of hired a few of them.

Drew Petzing was the scapegoat all of last season, and somehow Rallis flew under the radar as the coordinator who was actually worse. That's not even opinion, it's statistical evidence. To DP's credit, he actually adapted and pivoted during the season...Something Rallis refused to do.
I’d of much rather kept Petzing over Rallis.

Uh wut?

Sad but probably true.

Same.

Who is crying about it?

Is it just me or are we hiring a lot of college coaches? I wonder what our percentage of college coaches hired to other good teams is as I don’t know if this is a regular thing or not. But this offseason feels over-loaded with them, while keeping a bunch of coaches from previously putrid units already here.

I’m not doing a full study on this, but Jim Harbaugh is my spirit animal and I think the Chargers are well-coached.

They have 21 coordinators and position coaches listed here.

New DC Chris O’Leary came from Central Michigan, but coached in the NFL previously.
DB coach Steve Clinksdale came from Michigan with no NFL experience
DL coach Mike Elson came from Michigan with no NFL experience

It seems like almost all of their defensive staff came from the college ranks

Most of their offensive staff has a bunch of pro experience

Not me, saw enough of Petzjng. With JG gone we will see real quick if Rallis was held back by scheme that JG preferred. ML will let him run the defense on his own merits this time. I sure hope Rallis comes out more aggressive with his calls. Cant take another season of our vanilla defense
