No. Someone with experience in the NFL.Like Pete Kwiatkowski?
I don’t really understand this. What is the point?Still holding out hope of some experienced (former DC) senior defensive advisor.

I don’t really understand this. What is the point?
Rallis has been a DC for three seasons. He spent those three seasons under the supervision of a head coach with a defensive background. He knows how to call in plays; he knows how to run a practice. I’m unclear what the marginal value is.
Rallis needs help. I thought that was pretty clear to all of us. Not sure what you think Hackett is going to do.I don’t really understand this. What is the point?

You guys are saying the same thing. What would be the point of this? You don't have a DC then bring in some old washed up guy without a job to undermine him. How do people think that would work?
If you bring someone in as a defensive assistant it very much under Rallis.
But I do think there's scope for Assistant HC with a defensive background.
Off the top of my head, someone like Chuck Pagano.
I have an idea on the latter. Bring back the entire strength and conditioning staff. That'll fix our injury issues, for sure. It’s not a secret that the Cardinal’s defensive schemes were complicated. That’s mainly because they didn’t have the talent & had to try to disguise and fool offenses. They had some success doing that, but once you have a rookie 5th round pick running a defense with rookies playing everywhere, it was an impossible task. Rallis has 2 options. Either simplify the D or hope for less injuries. Good luck with the latter.
I would be shocked if there were a less experienced staff out there.Wow. So another relatively inexperienced staff. Awesome.
Yup. It's why they should have let him walk but it's gonna be a moot point as I expect him to be fired at the end of next season. You guys are saying the same thing. What would be the point of this?
If Rallis isn’t good enough you replace him. If he’s up to the job, then you let him do it.
Yes, under him. I don't anyone has argued for something different? If you bring someone in as a defensive assistant it very much under Rallis.
Would be perfect. But I do think there's scope for Assistant HC with a defensive background.

Monti has done a good job setting up a series of fall guys to keep his job over the next decade:Yup. It's why they should have let him walk but it's gonna be a moot point as I expect him to be fired at the end of next season.
Mikey is hardly the only owner to also be an executive in some capacity.Notably, their 10 positional coaches have just 27 combined years of NFL experience (and nine years of NFL experience as positional coaches).
Just beyond pathetic - the previous coaching staff was woefully underprepared, and the solution is to get an even less experienced staff.
Mikey refusing to let a real NFL person be the team President is more glaring every day.
I'm assuming that MO has the team president's blessing in all these hires?Monti has done a good job setting up a series of fall guys to keep his job over the next decade:
Rallis
Hackett
LaFleur
Etc

In the NFL they generally hire that guy as a "Consultant " so as to not stomp all over a guys ego or totally set his career backWell I think there is a role there as Asst HC for a new rookie HC.
For an offensive HC it makes sense to have someone defensive. I'm not suggesting they should be there to be Nick Rallis's daddy. I just think there is a role there for someone that has been around and done it all to help Mike. Hackett can do that to some extent, but he's going to have responsibilities to the offense. Someone like Pagano can help Mike with everything.
Doesn't make it a good strategy! Mikey is so in over his head he doesn't even realize that he's completely unqualified. This team has and remains desperate for a real NFL team president - the results speak for themselves.Mikey is hardly the only owner to also be an executive in some capacity.
I'd keep my suggestions to myself if I were you right now, but push on!This site needs a yawn emoji.
You're right - giving Monti too much credit.Sure dude, Monti brought them in to be fall guys...
With what tho? Hackett can help explain some of the managerial and organizational stuff that he’d have to do.Well I think there is a role there as Asst HC for a new rookie HC.
