I don't think Raiders would take Murray over Mendoza....but the lack of another clear cut #1 player hurts us too. None of the other "top 5" type guys are sure fire all pro talent that would justify the raiders passing on Mendoza.

If there was a DE or LT that was considered a no brainer....like a Myles Garret type...I could see the how the raiders would strongly consider Murray + #3.

Despite how people feel about him here...Murray has to be considered one of the best available veteran QBs this off-season, ecspecially considering we will most likely eat some money on his contract to facilitate a trade.

Chambliss isn’t going in the first round based on one game. Moore isn’t a lock to declare.
I don’t think people are giving Chambliss the credit he deserves. He played in the SEC just like Ty Simpson, but actually threw for more yards (though he played a few less games because he didn’t start until week 3) and has a higher QBR, and shined in a game that actually matters, yet the media has been touting Simpson.

He wasn’t on the radar before the Egg Bowl. Big game for him in Thursday in Glendale.

Chambliss just doesn’t excite me. He likes to run, but he has a small frame and will have trouble bulking up. He runs hot and cold on accuracy and touch. He’s not strong at ball placement. Not a strong pocket passer, possibly height related. He’s a good leader with a strong arm. He’s decisive and gets the ball out quickly. I’m not sure he even goes day 2.

Based on what?
Just an observation which certainly could be wrong. After the game against Georgia, he ran off to talk to their qb Stanton who is listed 6 ft 1 and Chambliss looked so much shorter with his helmet off. The measuring at the Combine will be the real answer to his actual height.

I hope so! I live in Big 10 country and have seen all of games. He's a VERY good college QB, I just don't see it translating to the NFL.

Maybe. Going to Raiders/Jets is a death pit for QB's though.

I think he's got a decent shot if he's given a decent chance. He might surprise us.
