I don't think Raiders would take Murray over Mendoza....but the lack of another clear cut #1 player hurts us too. None of the other "top 5" type guys are sure fire all pro talent that would justify the raiders passing on Mendoza.

If there was a DE or LT that was considered a no brainer....like a Myles Garret type...I could see the how the raiders would strongly consider Murray + #3.

Despite how people feel about him here...Murray has to be considered one of the best available veteran QBs this off-season, ecspecially considering we will most likely eat some money on his contract to facilitate a trade.
Yeah we have a great way of getting these picks at times where there’s no sure stud

If there's no way to get to Mendoza, best player available (and it won't be Moore). I'm with Harry, he scares me and reminds me a little of KM. Watched too many of his snaps and he seems to lock on to receivers and checks down a lot. And if he does start through his progressions, it's look to the primary and then just dump it off. Not sure about his ability to read defenses. I'm out on Simpson, too. If it's me, it's Bain or trade down a spot or 2 and pick up the best LT (kid from Utah or the kid from Miami) and maybe consider Nussmeier in Rd 2 if he tests well. Someone will rise up through the combine and senior bowls that could be had in Rd 2 or 3. We need OL or DL. And if we can't get a used bag of footballs for KM, just release him. Use the Maserati as trade bait or double down and get the guy a real WR coach. If no Mendoza, stick in the trenches.

Just as long as we don’t believe just drafting a RT solves our o-line problems.

Assuming there's no way to get Mendoza take the best player on the board which for me is Bain but I would be ok with Bailey too if the cards like him.

Can't go in locked on a position just take the best player we have so many holes we need to get an impact guy.

If Moore comes out, QBs likely go 1-2. Would allow the cards to take the top non-QB. If he tests like a freak, would likely be Arvell Reese as it’s tough to take an RB (Love) or a safety (Downs). Bain doesn’t have a prototypical frame for the pick. Reese would be similar to a Travon Walker type, elite measurables and explosive tape, but limited production.

The real knock on Bain is arm length otherwise he's literally the prototype. Height, weight, strength is all there but he has shorter arms.

Bailey is smaller but blazing fast and has longer arms. I would take both of them over Reese any day of the week.

Reese is honestly to me Isaiah Simmons if Simmons had been a LB/Edge in college instead of a LB/S. He's not a LB, and he's primarily a speed guy. Just not a big fan of him or Styles. I do like Downs but 3 is way too high for a Safety

He’s very disruptive no doubt, but there is concern out there. I also wonder if he’s a bit similar to Nolen.

“Remember that awesome 21 second scramble Kyler did on the two point conversion against you guys? Imagine him doing that in Silver and Black for the next 10 seasons!”
My dad is a Raiders' fan from way back. Lives in Vegas. The only home Raiders' game he has been to was the Cardinals game where Murray scrambled around and beat them. LOL

Chambliss just doesn’t excite me. He likes to run, but he has a small frame and will have trouble bulking up. He runs hot and cold on accuracy and touch. He’s not strong at ball placement. Not a strong pocket passer, possibly height related. He’s a good leader with a strong arm. He’s decisive and gets the ball out quickly. I’m not sure he even goes day 2.
Very similar QB to Caleb Williams imo. He’s got to be running the same scheme to succeed, he’s very talented but his coaches scheme will dictate his future success or failure
