There are not good ones. Either give up a massive trade package to get Mendoza. Or, go for a stopgap free agent, a draft pick from round 2 on, and hope you catch lightning in a bottle. But don't make it worse by locking into a mediocre QB this year when next year's class will be tremendously deep.

Meanwhile, if you hope to win in 2026, try for a great defense and solid run game. So, build both lines.

I will probably get ratio’d for saying this, but I feel it was a bad game to evaluate Simpson. He was overwhelmed by a truly dominant pass rush and in every replay his receivers were not getting open.

Not sure he’s the guy, but it didn’t diminish him as a prospect for me. He may come into the league with the “can’t win the big game” moniker though.

Simpson will be a 27’ prospect anyway.

I haven't watched Moore a ton but he looks the part.

My thing is, if Mendoza or Moore is your guy, go up and get him. If you have to overpay, overpay. If that's the guy and you hit, there is no overpay.
It's worth it.

With the fifth pick in the 2026 draft, the Arizona Cardinals select, Dante Moore, QB, University of Oregon.

Watching him reminds me of another qb that wears the number 1…ugh.

i think we can all agree we legit might be drafting one of these qbs - it will come down to more than who wins - individual performance and draft position will be at play

im on record as a mendoza guy but if simpson shows out and we can get him - that's where i can see him sitting behind and learning from brissett

Alabama QB’s suck in the NFL. I would stay completely away. Same with several other big name programs like Ohio State, Notre Dame, etc…

I don’t see why some people are enthralled with Beck??? My son in law’s family are all UGA fans. They cheered the day Beck left. He was never a talent at UGA. I have watched him closely the last 2-3 years. I’m not at all impressed. He will not succeed in the NFL, if he even has an NFL career.
