: Last-minute change, fans will NOT be allowed to bring their own water bottles to the 2026 World Cup.

Despite the high temperatures expected during the tournament, FIFA has announced the ban “for security reasons”.

: Officials predict the match between Mexico and South Africa will generate over 1.1 billion live viewers. It would become the most-viewed opening event in history, surpassing the 2008 Beijing Olympics and pushing it into second place.

Just more of a money grab. Honestly why did they tell fans that they would be able to bring in refillable cups? Usually by this point I’m excited for the World Cup, but fifa has really taken that away with their blatant corruption and incompetence.
