Brissett will be the starting qb and the Cards should draft a qb in the first round. If Mendoza, Moore and Simpson all declare for the draft, one of the them should be there when we pick. The Giants and Titans, if they pick ahead of us, don't need a qb.

The Giants may not be all in on Dart but the Titans would be foolish not to at least consider trading back with one of the many teams needing a QB. I think the Giants are a big trade back candidate as well.
I just don't think the Cards can sit at 5 and be sure they get 1 of the 3 top QBs.
Still early so it could happen.

Vaguely similar in vibes to Brissett's first couple games starting in AZ. Difference being, GB got to put him back on the shelf before teams adjusted. We did not. Im not saying Willis can't be a good prospect, I'm saying his history shows he likely isn't, and using the data set he's built solely in GB is fools gold.
Correct. Many back ups succeed in limited games because there is not film on them. Once there is film, they show why they are back ups.

Agree someone could trade up ahead of them like it happened with Mahomes. But I do think the Giants will stay with Dart. He is the starter and they picked him in the first round. He needs some wrs for sure.

His coach is gone and the new one may not want him, but I agree they likely keep him.

Problem is the Cards have less ammo than the Jets.

And we’re not?
Oh, we most def are. I'm just citing a reason why another bad organization would make a bad decision to stake their future on Kyler. We saw the Jets do so with Fields and the Raiders do so with Geno (although that would arguably, at the time of the deal, be a smarter move than Kyler).

Well we’ve been told by more than a few on here that other NFL teams and their GMs would be tickled pink to have KM…

If he gets released, he will probably be a hot commodity. Although, he probably won't get the contract nor job security he's looking for.

Trading is whole other deal.

I’m banking on Kyler working a deal with a team he would like to play for which would include a restructured contract that would help both teams.
If he tries to be vindictive toward the Cardinals well he can sit at the end of the bench and serve Gatorade or retire.

Malik Willis (Barf)
I changed my mind watching the Ravens game. That game I saw the vision Petzing had with Kyler in his offense. Willis was modern Kyler expect taller/sturdier and with more poise
Getting rid of Kyler Murray to pay Temu Kyler Murray $21 million a year would be amazing.

Ted Nguyen in The Athletic just posted an analysis of Willis' development with Green Bay and his potential as a starter. Gemini summarized (and expounded further when I asked about his potential fit in Arizona). I'd be optimistic if the Cardinals brought him in in lieu of the third best rookie in a weak QB class... if they also improve the offensive and QB coaching.
Based on the analysis by Ted Nguyen, Malik Willis has evolved into a legitimate starting candidate after a period of development under Matt LaFleur in Green Bay.

Performance Evaluation

Originally considered a raw prospect with immense arm talent and rushing ability, Willis has recently demonstrated a vastly improved pocket presence.
  • Efficiency: In his 2024-25 starts, he has posted elite metrics, including a 0.41 EPA per dropback and the league’s lowest off-target rate (5.10%) among qualifying quarterbacks.
  • Vertical Passing: He excels at manipulating the pocket to create big-play opportunities and possesses high deep-ball accuracy.
  • Remaining Weakness: His primary limitation continues to be a struggle with attacking the middle of the field, a trait that remains a "legitimate weakness" for play-callers to navigate.

Potential Fit with Arizona

The Arizona Cardinals are highlighted as a top destination as they potentially move on from Kyler Murray. Willis is viewed as a "scary" fit for Arizona because:
  • Offensive Weapons: His vertical passing style aligns perfectly with the skill sets of Marvin Harrison Jr., Michael Wilson, and Trey McBride, all of whom excel on the vertical routes Willis prefers to attack.
  • Management Tie: Cardinals GM Monti Ossenfort was part of the Tennessee Titans staff that originally drafted Willis, providing the organization with deep insight into his development.

He's less talented Kyler Murray. Maybe he watches film though
