Jalen Green will miss the home opener, but Mark Williams is expected to play.

The Suns practiced today, but have tomorrow off. Then it's preparation for the Kings.

Duane Rankin summarizes where the Suns are in the video below.

In case anyone missed it, Russell Westbrook signed with the Kings.

I'm generally not a fan of Rankin, but his updates throughout training camp have been pretty good.

He just never asks the harder questions and his writing isn't all that special. I much, much preferred Gerald. But, since he's all we really have now...
Those are all valid. I actually think Kellen Olson from AZ Sports is the best we have right now for local Suns reporters. He knows his basketball and asks good questions and his write-ups are interesting with provided video examples too.

I've never really taken to Kellen, whose voice doesn't match his look. lol He's still ok, but I notice a lot in player interviews, he interrupts other reporters all the time.

As expected, Jalen Green will miss the opener.

Sounds like Mark Williams will play. I'm anxious to see him play in a Suns uniform.

One would think the NBA could produce a more equitable schedule than the Suns playing three games in four nights to open the season.

He seems re-invigorated without KD. He seemed to have been a bigger fan of KD the past few years and wasn't objective.

What I like about Duane Rankin's reporting, he stays on topic, travels with the team and gives frequent reports.

Gerald Bourguet got into more analysis of the team and discussion with the fans, which will be missed.

Kellan Olson does a good job too, but in the past, I mostly used his reporting to fill in the gaps. Maybe as the season unwinds, I will look to him more.

Really excited for Suns basketball.

I hope Mark Williams can stay healthy because he gives the Suns a lob threat and a paint beast. He is also who Maluach will learn the most from watching.

I'm curious how the lineup is rounded out around Book, Brooks, and Williams as those 3 are the only locks to start.

I'd feel more confident in a win if Jalen were playing but we'll need to get 20+ points elsewhere. The Kings won't have Sabonis so it should be winnable but I hope the Suns show some fight.

I'm excited as well. It's not just about winning, although obviously that is the point.

I want to see the new players, how they are coached and the Suns style of aggressive, team oriented basketball.

It's nice to have a couple of young big men to develop in Maluach and Fleming.

Also, the Suns have two new starters in Mark Williams and Dillon Brooks. Actually three if Jalen Green were playing.

Kings also beat the Lakers LOL, they will come out firing. I think we are actually better defensively than LA, and deeper.

i think we're going to see better defense- less turnovers and a lot more fun being had on the court
