Man, Harry, I hope you're right on the trade compensation. That would be super sweet. I think the pressure to trade KM might increase, rather than decrease, if Gannon is let go, however. What coach will want to come in after KM has gone through two other coaches?

I can't see how Murray gets a #1 pick. Especially, if the Cards continue to lose and he keeps playing like he is.

They probably could have gotten a #1 plus if they had the foresight to trade him this past offseason but our "smartest GM in the league" thought so much of the offense that he didn't do 1 thing to improve it this off season.

Think about it, he spent the entire draft on defense, signed Sweat, Tomlinson, CC and did nothing offensively even though there was/is plenty of cap space to have added.

Man, getting a first for Murray seems wildly out of line with league wide views on his worth. But the people expressing these opinions aren't NFL front offices, so who knows. I sure hope you're right!

If the choices are Gannon goes, and Murray stays, I am FULL ON keep Gannon. If it's unload coaching staff, you HAVE to get rid of the QB or youre back in the same garbage you started with 3 years ago. Just three years older, and more proven as not the answer at the position.

Doesn't make sense to me.

I thought I would recommend the game between TCU and Baylor on Saturday, if you have the time. For me, the reason is Sawyer Robertson, the QB from Baylor. Along with Ty Simpson, he is my favorite quarterback so far. Baylor is not exactly a powerhouse, but Robertson have them at 4-2 with a realistic chance of aiming for the conference championship game (or at least close). And there is no doubt that they are good because of Robertson. He is also leading all major passing categories in all college football.

My first rule in evaluating quarterbacks is simply my gut feeling, and Robertson is always Baylor’s best player on the field. Some years ago, I started paying more attention to the Bill Parcells-doctrine about QBs number of starts as a guideline, and so far Robertson has 21 starts (for comparison, Dante Moore has six).

By the way, #2 in the passing yard-stat is Josh Hoover, the TCU quarterback, so it is sort of a direct matchup between those two.

I'm thinking next level when I evaluate them.

Right now, I'm thinking Leavitt may drop in the draft, the same way I thought Skattebo would drop. If the Cardinals trade down, he might be worth a look.

Hes always playing hurt. His mobility was limited most of last season because of it. I love the kid and think he has all the talent in the world, but I just see him making it through entire NFL seasons.

I don't see Sam being very good at the next level...his passing game just isn’t there yet. He should probably work with the likes of Jordan Palmer in the off-season, because I don't think he's going to get the necessary coaching at ASU to really take the next step in his progression.

This is why he may be worth drafting if he drops in the NFL draft.

He reminds me some of Jake Plummer and Danny White.

Caleb Downs is the best defensive player in the draft, and he plays a position of need. But taking a safety that high probably isn't ideal for the Cards.

For the record, it's take a late round flyer on him and as @AsUpRoDiGy said, hope he hires a QB coach and see what he has. I just question his durability.

Would prefer the Ohio state pass rusher over the safety if we go Ohio state defender…I bet we go o line or quarterback…..assuming Mendoza is gone I think Simpson has leadership skills and the ability to quickly read defenses….not a great athlete but can move and avoid the rush…

Overhyped? What was Nix hyped to be that he currently isn't? Daniels has missed some games and McLaurin has had a terrible start to the season.

His point is that the top QBs who have failed spectacularly are most often those with lower snaps/starts/attempts.
