Sadly, I'm on the Harry bandwagon that it is time to make change at qb and trade Murray in the off season. He is tradable and we won't get much for him but it is time to move on. We can speculate on who to draft or sign as a free gent or even trade for but after 7 years we must realize that a change is needed.

If someone is willing to pay his salary I would take a can of beans in trade. I would take the $40M in savings and invest it in the OL and start Brissett.

I would go further back and blame Rosen for everything. If he hadn't been such a bum we wouldn't have been desperate enough to waste the next year's first overall pick on another qb.

Agreed…and I agree with most of what harry said except Murray being number one coming out….that’s not what I remember ….people was stating his flaws….nobody else would have took him one….the pick should of been bosa
Several people thought Murray wasn’t a clear number one. I can only go by my contacts at that time, but this was when I was involved. The best I can offer is to go to NFL Mock Data Base Consensus, collates dozens of mock drafts. Murray was the top pick. BTW Josh Allen was the most common second choice. Mocks are not scouts but usually several of them are well connected to scouts
Here’s a selection of sources that had him on top

Another K1 post crying about drafting him.

Imagine using the actual K1 thread that is pinned at the top of the site.
Not crying, analyzing. Considered tying it to that thread, but it was a more of an effort than just offering an opinion. I apologize if you feel my choice was inappropriate.

Lots of people on here wanted us to take Lamar Jackson that year. I wonder how that would have changed the future?

I don't have the football acumen that many of you have. That said, it's been seven years of waiting a consistently great (or bad) performance. This was "his deciding year" and sure there is a number of factors but he's not shining. He's not leading. Another year of mixed observations. Moments of greatness, lots of moments of non-greatness. Time to move on.

the cardinals are only as good as their qb - been that way forever - it's why we miss warner and palmer - it's why the majority of the fan base wants to move on from kyler

77 seasons and you point to two seasons to indict the current QB.

Please take a seat.

What Fitzpatrick said about kyler sliding for 3yds sold it for me. You dont have to be a rah rah guy to be a leader. Your play can show the team and fans you will do what it takes to win. Mahomes is lowering his shoulder for extra yds in September to show his team we are going to be okay, im with yall whatever it takes to win. Kyler sulking and playing scared of any type of contact which leads to these off the back foot throws and always sliding short no matter what im out get him the foh.

And Murray wasn’t drafted into a horrible situation?? Haskins was a mess dude.
Actually, Murray was drafted into an ideal situation and had everything catered to him. Kingsbury ran Murray's high school offense and was the guy the HC wanted.
Haskins was a mess but was drafted because the owner wanted him over the wishes of the HC and the HC was forced to play him. Haskins had plenty of his own demons, but you can't compare the situations they were drafted into.
