He’s apparently historically terrible to start the season. 1-9 before today in the first two games of the season. But shockingly he gets better as a season progresses. He’s like the anti-Kyler except there’s no part of the season where Kyler is ever at Joe’s best level.

That was sarcasm as his line was less productive than Kyler’s… vs a very bad team as well.

Kyler had an awesome pass to MHJ on the 49 yard and a couple good touchdown passes. But he definitely panicked too much. And on many plays, he literally had plenty of time to throw. I don’t know what the heck you guys were talking about. There were multiple multiple plays where he’s sitting back there dancing looking and wouldn’t pull the trigger. I don’t know if you can do that and say you had terrible protection the whole game. Makes no sense. Some good some bad. So about the norm. In back to back plays he literally had McBride wide open and flat missed him on both killing a drive.
Kyler definitely missed a couple including that big one to Jr for a huge chunk but to say the Oline wasn’t poor in pass pro today is being naive. The biggest concern to me is still the poor pass rush like I said before & after the draft

The Saints played the bootlegs great all day & Petzing should have stopped calling them

Oh the Oline play wasn’t perfect. But blaming them considering how many plays Kyler had with a clean pocket and just sat there dancing and couldn’t pull the trigger, or just panicked is ripe. Or the passes K1 just blatantly missed when not under pressure as well. Most notably the two back to back ones to McBride that he just blatantly missed.

More disappointed in both lines of scrimmage. Run blocking was OK, only because we had two long runs. Pass blocking was average at best. No pressure on QB at all, no one stood out at all. KM made some plays but also needs to learn to throw it away at times. Still thinks he can out run every situation.

Good win, no turnovers. They'll have some stuff to clean up. The Cards need to get more pressure on defense. Kyler Murray cannot miss wide open MHJ for 99 yard touchdowns. This game was made way too close at the end. That being said, it was a win on the road. Chalk one up, move on, and try to be better on both sides of the ball. I'm hoping Hernandez is getting his strength up to the point of starting very soon.

What I notice the most watching this team versus all others week in, week out last year and the same in week 1 this year, we just lack special players. Got a solid base of good, lots of okay… but very few guys that are just major impact players.

Tough to win at an elite level with very little elite level talent.

I guess I don't understand this. Why did you think the line was anything better than above average, and the dline would be league average? That is what we saw today IMO. We added Calais Campbell and Dalvin Tomlinson and Wlater Nolen to one of the worst groups in the league. Nolen didn't play along with our two 2024 FAs. We added better players but not top talent (outside of potentially Nolen)..

The hope is that MHJ, Paris, DRob, Nolen, and Will can join McBride and Baker by the end of the season.

Yeah… but I don’t even think Baker is next level elite. He’s good, but a liability in coverage. Not a superstar.

DRob was a ghost today. Paris looks solid, but hasn’t looked dominant. MHJ, I have hope for, but I don’t know if we ever see his top potential without a better QB… although bad QBs never stopped super elite WRs from being great.

But besides McBride, no one just screams off the screen.

MHJ is so contingent on Kyler figuring things out and Drew using him that it’s so hard to definitively say what he is. Today, he had some plays that indicated that he is possibly a top-10 receiver in the league, and when Kyler targeted him, his passer rating today was 156. But either Kyler can’t find him through his progressions (if there are any), or Drew doesnt run plays for him.

The pass to MHJ needed some air to let Marvin run under it. They do it all the time in shorts…

this is the bottom line impression I have

I thought NO's defensive front beat AZs o line for much of the game

when the Saints are playing the Brandon Staley 2 high safety look -- if you cant run efficiently, its going to be a long day for the offense

We won vs. the Saints and need to celebrate the victory. Still, plenty of disappointment even as we go 1-0. Our O has been together now for over a year, and we had an entire off-season and full training camp to get everyone in sync. Did our O even have a full practice with one another? I was expecting a well-oiled machine. Instead, we got more stutter steps and tap dancing from our QB, and too many missed plays. Plenty of accountability to go around with KM at the heart of the matter. His flawed mechanics and ‘single-read—panic—run’ style of play worked all through his pre-professional career. He falls back into those old patterns at the first hint of adversity. KK couldn’t drill it out of him now Petzing has molded the offense not so much around KK’s strengths but in deference to KM’s liabilities. We are not seeing Petzing’s full offense, we are seeing the offense tailored---by necessity–around what KM can do and what he is willing to do. We are going to have to grin-and-bear it and hope that enough games end in the same fashion as the Saints game with KM doing just enough right and not enough wrong and the D holding their own until the final gun.

Kyler is far from a perfect QB, but he was nowhere near the biggest problem today. The o-line leaked like a sieve and had K1 running for his life. They will stymie the potential for the Cards’ offensive weapons. I’m also not sure Petzing knows how to best scheme for the tools he has at his disposal.

For those complaining about not being able to destroy NO with SPENCER RATTLER at QB, that underscores a big concern about the D-line. They did not do enough to make Rattler rattled. If the Cards don’t get better play out of both lines, this is going to be another disappointing season.

Kyler needs to raise his level, but vintage Brady/Montana/Manning would struggle behind this line and the defense is not the second coming of the ‘85 Bears.

We couldn’t of used a #2 explosive WR.. we don’t even scheme for MHJR in this putrid, boring ass offense
No no it’s not the scheme you can stay that in here it’s always Kylers fault no matter if we win he doesn’t turn the ball over. It’s his fault he dropped a bombed right in MJH hands and then we totally don’t even try to throw downfield again. Don’t use he’s supposed to be the coach the play caller everything or the haters come a talk stupid crap about a good road win with no TOs… Petzing is a great OC in some of these morons heads it’s all he is limited by his QB hahahah must have been why he was such a highly coveted OC…. Oh that’s right he wasn’t because no serious team even considered him! Look no further than today what a good OC can do with a much less talented QB you know by being creative and actually playing to strengths and designing plays to use your talent! Joe many targets did MHJ have today seems like they took forever to even remember he was on the team, how about our stud TE how involved did our genius OC get him? Predictable boring ridiculous bad play calling but yeah it’s always Murray’s fault lol… idiotic logic!
