I don't know that these rise to darksider levels, but these are the things I am looking at as the season begins.

4 - Does a team need ILBs? I think Mack Wilson is fine. I don't believe any of the other options are average NFL LBs. I know teams can go dime but the Cardinals play in a physical division and week 1 vs a Saints team that wants to pound the rock will highlight the ILB position.

Since I'm a front seven guy, this is the one for me.

ADG starting and then pappoe and the rook as back ups. Very concerning.

I guess the hope is that JG/NR can coach/scheme/motivate those three to respectability.

I'm a big Mack Wilson fan though. Bet he has a good year.

Eh, we have seen Brady and gronk win...even Purdy and kittle...both with very limited outside help.

When Purdy lead the 49ers to a 12-5 record two seasons ago Aiyuk lead the team with nearly 1200 receiving yards and Deebo had almost 900.
It's a little grating my friend, that every time you talk about the 2024 offense one could infer we were last in the league in terms production.

Inconsistent in 2024? Sure. Bad when it counted most in 2024? Fine. Boring at times? Absolutely.

But will you at least acknowledge that in totality, the offense was respectable? sheesh. :)
The 18th best passing offense in the NFL with all the resources dedicated to that side of the ball is not respectable.

Of course it was! I'm discussing the need to have the passing game be respectable, especially given our lack of depth at WR.

I acknowledge it was respectable. With a mid-QB one would expect that. Look K1 is a starting caliber QB in the NFL. But IMO we've seen the best he'll ever be, and that is he'll never be good enough to elevate the team around him.

It's (again IMO) why Monte has built a power running team, as that gives the Cardinals the best chance to win with K1. But he's not an elite QB, like many on here claim he is.

After all that I hope beyond all hope that I'm wrong. Every K1 detractor on this board want to be wrong. In fact I would venture a guess if you turn out right and K1 turns it around everyone in here will buy you a beer. In the end we all just want to win.

--ILBer
--WR
--OL depth/IOL strength at starter
--QB play

So would a lot of us but we did nothing ANYWHERE there despite cap room.

If you’re still asking that question after it’s not only been answered ALL offseason and even in THIS THREAD, there’s no point in answering again.

lol… or maybe we just want to actually be really good for once and not always be looking to “next year”. This is the third year of the regime. This is a year most GOOD organizations aren’t just hoping to get into the playoffs but make REAL NOISE once they’re in there.

And Keenan Allen just gets in the end zone. Really couldn’t use a veteran number 2 like that on this team, who signed for cheap. Oh the horror!!!
Anybody else heard whispers of a cards and chargers trade for wr Johnston? I think that would be a mistake for the chargers to trade the young talent…..

Im still VERY concerned the Cards don’t have enough pressure guys to rush the QB particularly from the edge!!! Sweat was a good addition but let’s be real here he’s he’s no superstar that makes a teams OC lose sleep over. We should have done everything possible in trying to acquire Hendrickson first, then attempted Parsons after that.

If this team fails to make the playoffs I think the #1 reason why will be because they are not good enough to disturb & disrupt the QB, particularly edge players.

Go Big Red!!! Blessed by the Lord to still be alive to witness season #51 for me :)

Drunken sailor thing is a stupid opinion of yours, IMO, but it’s an opinion of yours so it doesn’t bother me that much. However, you saying I called Monti a moron is just flat out lying about what I said. When people just flat out lie about what I post, that’s usually the end of the convo for me.
I didn't lie but simply thought you implied something to that effect. So I apologize for my poor memory. It just feels that way to me when so many posters freak out about the roster construction this offseason. Honestly you seem a lot more negative about the team than positive so I have grouped you into the "haters" crowd.
I consider you to be a diehard Cards fan and know you want the Cards to win as much as anyone. That doesn't mean you and I can't vehemently disagree about the WR room and Monti's roster construction plan.

You're just arguing semantic not the actual comment. Which I stand by. You were one of them until you finally gave up. I won't repeat your reasoning tho :biglaugh:
Research me saying I ever said Kyler was an elite QB.

As I said pass rush basically non existent & almost cost the Cards the game. Our only hope for pressure is a more aggressive scheme by Rollis or BJ & our rook DT turn into studs when they return. I wouldn’t count on it. Rattler shouldn’t look as good as he did! We’ve got the secondary, without a legit pass rush. We still need “the guy” the “difference maker” in the edge

Glad we survived & went to 1-0

Still don’t know why we didn’t sign White. Better than what I saw out there today. He would make some plays.
Anyone here going to make the argument we upgraded over White?

Those receiving options other than Marv/Trey were NICE!
