Here is the thing...are you confident that Kyler is going to complete passes to any new WR at any better rate than he completes passes to his current group?
Of course not - but you have to try and get him better weapons than Wilson and Jones. These are just not good NFL receivers.

Where I disagree is that the only type of WR that Kyler would benefit from is a player with the talent of Tee Higgins or Stefon Diggs but is ok only seeing 6-8 targets a game. MHJ has no WR competition on the roster and only was targeted 6 times. Kyler attempted 29 passes.

It wouldn't surprise me that Kyler would rely on elite options to be successful...he's not good enough on his own to make it happen.

It's absolutely insane that we targeted MHJ 6 times. He had a 156.3 passer rating when targeted vs the Saints, best in the NFL, and he was targeted 6 times?!? Absurd.

It's also crazy that we put such an emphasis on the run, yet our fringe receiving options can't take advantage of a D forced to account more for the run?

Play action passing is most effective when the QB can read through progressions quickly and hit the WRs when they are at certain windows or route points. That is not Kyler's strength.

he is knucklehead, but man is he dangerous on the field

it would add a much needed danger element to this passing game -- maybe to the locker room as well

Agreed which is why I am saying that you would have to sign a very good/expensive WR to be able to actually see an improvement to the offense.
yup.... the only reason he passed to Marv so much last year is because it was mandatory and Marv was considered "elite" coming out of college.
Bringing Zay back was the right move for this year...but we need another early round WR come april

I think they need to force the issue. It’s silly that’s necessary, but that’s Murray

Personally, I don't see that working for either side. The Cardinals do not have a single staff member who has any expertise or credibility in coaching up a QB. If I was advising Kyler, I would advise him to have a private QB coach or demand the team hire one of his choosing. Neither Petzing nor Terrell nor Woolfork are any sort of credible information source. I guarantee the amount of critical coaching he gets is next to zero. And if he does get any, he is not likely listening to it.

DL has gotten crazy thin.

Justin Jones - IR
LJ Collier - IR
Bilal Nichols - PUP
Walter Nolen - PUP
Elijah Simmons - Signed off PS by Bucs

Crazy how thin the roster got.
Bright side is that we should all expect them back halfway through the season.
